I read someone saying something about "destroying the ego".
Dont do that! without an ego, youll become like a vegetable.
the key is "not to identy with it". Says ken wilbur, and i
agree.

detatchment seems like a LESS selfish view than... well,
attatchment to me...

remember, whenever people do really bad stuff... its because
they are doing something they believe in
(ie wars, genocide, racism, homophobia - caused violence)

...they never do something they DONT believe in...

every action has concequences... if im detatched from
stuff... it doesn't mean i dont care about other people.....
i still avoid hurting others

wow -- it's awesome to read this conversation after 4 years

and what i;ve realized over this time is minding my own
business and placating to the social needs of others is not
detachment
it's denial of self
which seems to have nothing to do with detachment or
nihilism
or everything...

so...

come on, you slags

means something for you
