I tried getting tickets for SF, LA, Portland AND Seattle on
day 2. Have a tie to every area, so i didn't really care
which (SF is closest though).

Apparently sold out within 10 min everywhere. That's never
happened before, I've never had problems getting ae tickets
even a few days later. I've seen them live maybe 6 times.
Bots bought em all up or something?

I may check again for re-sale shit but I'm not about to
spend 200 bucks or something on this.

yeah sold out. damn. i had a dream last night i saw them
live too, bizarre dream, they performed in a box that had
the sides flap out mechanically and the music wasnt loud
enough and there was fucking advertisements where the music
stopped and ppl were booing throwing chairs.

looks like i will have to secure myself a ticket as i have
no idea why they're kicking off the tour in my town but it
will give me bragging rights to say i saw them first and i
can ruin the entire set for everyone else on here by posting
it before they have a chance to go

all very odd.

is it true the US shows instantly sold out?
is it really scalpers? How does that work?
UK shows havent got that problem.

hey man all I can say is that i tried to buy tickets for 4
diff cities on the west coast and all were sold on on day
2.

I have no advice for buying from scalpers, I've never done
it, but I well check authentic ticket resellers (stubhub
etc) closer to to the show date to try and nab a couple. I
don't have my hopes up.

although SF is closest to me I'm going to try and get
tickets to Portland, OR for oct 7th if I can. I just wont
pay more than say... $120 a tick.

not resell them in UK?

am i the only one who thinks scalpers is a misleading term.
i mean natives didnt hunt the buffalo to (near) extinction.
commercial hunters did.
would be the better analogy to sold out tix
which you dont even use for yourself.

sold out tix suck, i mean,
people have to make plans in advance,
get 1 or 2 days off, check motels and stuff.
not everyone can just go buy a ticket day one.
there has got to be a better way.
maybe do a few more shows too.

And many of the scalper/bots are companies owned by
Ticketmaster and Live Nation, this is always done now on big
artists. Laws have tried to pass to prevent this because it
jacks up the price of tickets and a scanned ticket can be
sold to 100’s of people through a third party and only 1
is valid. When you actually had to buy a physical ticket it
was never this bad.

Anyways, I’ve seen 1000’s of shows and I’d never pay
$100 to see any artist, not alone two dudes pushing buttons
in the dark.

I caught them in 2015 (touring with our cygnus!) in Seattle
and SF in 2015. Damn, was that 10 years ago? feels like
yesterday. Their 2015 tour lined up (maybe engineered for) a
festival in Seattle that had Chris Clark, Richard Devine,
Tim Hecker and others. By festival I mean, they were playing
at isolated indoor venues over a few days, not a big outdoor
thing. Really enjoyed seeing some of my favorite artists
over a few days.

I'm really gonna try and get either Portland or LA in the
next few months.
