belb is a bit low key and doesn't draw much attention to himself on the main forum (mb on discord more? I dont go there often) but he released an album, (questionably titled) Wolfslicefork review: I've listened to this through and through, though piecemeal. The album is 1 hour and 20 minutes of metallic jingling with some neat sounds interspliced. Percussive to be sure, the way VI Scose Poise is percussive. But in the end, more ambient than anything. It's the type of thing that would sound great on LSD. Completely sober or just a bit drunk, it sounds cool but it's hard to KEEP your attention. There are so many cool sounds hidden in here, that it's worth a listen. Belb goes all out on the hidden, tiny detail. Everything sounds great, and IMO belb is the most balanced musician here, never a critical note to give other than: "motherfucker this bit should be longer." In essence, he gives the longer here, as the whole track is one big thing. It reminds me most of a large portion of Vladislav Delay's work. He's a guy I can only really listen to on psychedelics, but he's great at what he does and so is belb. |
