you surprise me now too, cause I've never heard much of
samples in NIN tracks. In comparison, in e.g. Skinny Puppy ?
Yes.

Or in Ministry

Just look up any album and see what they sampled, soemtimes
they borrow minutes and sometimes just seconds that are even
layered so it’s hard to impossible to know. What easter
eggs lol

Pay up or get sued, unless the original artist/lable
whatever is good with it

LAZY_PtettyHate Marchine samples and Downward Spiral

LAZY_TITLE

Yeah I'm on NIN samples now, had no idea. Amazing.

I guess I usually focused just on vocal samples, like,
Skinny Puppy have lots of them on Too Dark Park

so NIN sounded quite "clear" in that respect to me

MrObara, and even though this website was outdated a decoade
or more ago lol, it’s still a great website and it
doesn’t even list the billions of samples from techno and
electronic of years past
But for free, it’s damn good!!!!

McQueen, I see it’s from that ginger snaps movie, is it
any good? That little clip alone looks interesting.
Reading somewhere they are comparing it to Carrie.

good thred
cant think of any right now
ah yes wait,
one that i found out myself was the when i watched the
original battlestar galactica intro a couple of years ago.
"the final annihilation of the lifeform known as man..."
in ruffneck only found out until almost 2 decades
after the release, but man i loved that album. one of my all
time fave tapes.
i even skipped going to aphex in munich to see them live in
my crusty youthcenter. well and i had the flu and no money
for hotel, but that was a fucking great night i had, by far
the best british gig in my vicinity.

also i recognized a ton of beastie boys shorter samples from
all kind of records. but none that stood out for me like
that.

0.5 terabyte behind here, dunno what the license is tho who
cares yeah
an ML/AI style browser would be lush.... but i think its
nicer for single sounds there is too long shit in there.

does anyone use any of those sample browsers where they map
attributes of a sound over a 2D plane+colourisation of the
points? what is it like?
