still have em,
in a shoe box .-)
playing mostly 70s records at home these days,
hippestuff, santana (abraxas still catches me everytime),
some simon and garfunkel for the lady.
sounds of philadelphia compilation (soul) to shake the rump
to.
some 30s swing vinyl, l´orchestre du jeux video!,
on pc i gathered some more space disco & synth gems from
intergalactic fm.
some 50s 60s rock n roll classics, then there is always the
evergrowing itunes playlist of spaced out electronic music:
Aphex, Abfahrt Hinwil, Automatic Tasty, Bitstream,
Bochum Welt, CN, Cygnus, Ceephax, D´arcangelo, DMX Krew,
Drexciya, E.R.P., EOD, FAH, FSOL, Gentle People, Gimmik,
Roedelius, Kitbuilders, Kraftwerk,
Laurie Spiegel, Legowelt, Luke Vibert, Marcello Giombini,
Matt Whitehead, Metamatics, Mika Goedrijk, Monolake,
Monolith, Mouse on Mars, Retape, Silicon Scally, Space
Dimension Controller, Squarepusher, Subermsible Machines,
Ulrich Schnauss...
and to blast boredom i put some random rock RCA Albums to
check out during my deliveries, but none of them were really
worth mentioning.
rather be playing the first two ACDC Albums.
i picked up some oscar peterson piano tracks after hearing
them on the classic station. good stuff. Been checking
sounds of belgium because of the linked videos from are
sounds electrik, not great but kept me interested.
Checked a lot of loveparade samplers which were 99,5% total
crap.
then theres a few TV and Movie folders, like oliver onions -
flying through the air and movin cruisin lol childhood
memories ^^ or riptide tv show theme, catchy stuff, lots of
fun.
sums up the past two years
+ recent Aphex, DMX & Ceephax obviously

thats a tough one.
i recommend "A PappaWheelie Sound Document"
miami bass compilations in terms of original 1988-1992
stuff.
multiple issues and there is lot of good ones on there
especially if you´re into the 80´s breakdance style
electro.
they´re basically a similar style, but keep it rolling a
bit more
with the sub bass.
"afro-rican - give it all you got" is a good example.
"miami bass classics 1-x" compilations are worth a shot
next.
there is some rather slow paced tunes with some of the
clumsiest rap,
like the lazier tracks of gucci crew and 2 live crew.
might have been fun at some point, but theyre bland fillers
to me by now.
2 live crew obviously had some killers though,
like the well known "c´mon babe"
with its infamous sample from full metal jacket
or "shake a lil sumtin"

but i was actually browsing through some booty bass of the
2000´s
like bass mekanik, which is a different kind of animal.
all in all lots of 2000s production seems to be slow paced,
but there is still some nice bass and sample work.
bass mekanik 90% of those tracks are really simple and focus
on sub bass, so they are a bit boring unless mixed or blown
out of a sound system that turns your guts inside out. ^^
bass mekanik - breakin´down and roll yo bones is cool
tracks
