ive always felt mario was pretty psilocybin-mushroom inspired
tho they could never outright admit such a thing in japan without ostracization (where aphex can just be like "yeah me and me mates were on loads of acid")
I feel it in the art, the music, maybe even the gameplay. watching this activated my own dormant, psychedelicly-forged neural pathways almost immediately.

youtube recommended me this after watching this video.
so, yeah, it totally sounds like the original but also i feel a bit prettier, because the synth is more sophisticated than a NES sound chip. (but i don't have that keen an ear for these things, so)
