Well i think so anyway, I was shown another horror film with
a "come to daddy" in it, but its much more likely to be
Hellraiser

lol that barry norman review ..."nasty little film" "grubby
and gratutiously violent", lighten up bar
it is rather funny that no one seems to think that aphex did
those vocals himself... possibly because they are so fucking
deranged :)

i wish he'd release more of the tunes he did in the mid 90s
with vocals... i love all ones off CTD EP, and girl/boy

read an interview were he said he did 200 tracks in a year
for RDJ album so probably fair to say there are a few more
with vocals on I bet

Yeah i mean its a film, completely make believe you're not
meant to take it literally in a serious manner, its
obviously self aware and absurd in a darkly humorous way

I just had a thought of barry normal being pulled apart by
chains "Jesus Wept"

tbf to Mr. Normam, we're probably watching basically
different films...
i love Hellraiser cuz it is just soo of its time/place
the last cry of stop-frame anim, real film (like, there are
different sorts of film too... I would love to get into the
different types, like US telly from '90s looks totally
different to UK), most people watched it on VHS, and you can
hear that lofi 'halo' on the samples on the soundtrack...
plus i remember when i was little being fascinated by the
cover on the topshelf in video part at the back of the
corner shop

we need it now more than ever.... and the strange thing is i
don't think stuff IS beyond parody any more than it used to
be.... maybe everything is too close to parody now due to
postmodernism or summat idunno... yeah, its obvious a
satirical TikTok would be completely impossible
actually 4chan type shit at least years ago could be said
to be closest to "afflicting the comfortable and comforting
the afflicted" [outliers permitting]
i am not an internet sociologolist

yeah satire now is weak as piss, we need it more than ever
but it only really exists on the internet now not on TV

i remember seeing in the record shop the Coil Hellraiser Themes 10"
but I was too frightened to get it because I think I read
Clive Barker said they couldn't use it as it was too scary.
Listening now, first thing on a sunny morning, it's really
good.
