Gave em both a few listens each. These are both nice and mellow, enjoyable tunes. App Recording 20211115 1125 the ambient pads drive this thing rather than the beat. I like it. The drums are a bit loud though for my taste in contrast, particularly the closed hi hats in their off-rhythm. They're not bad, just need to be mixed a bit more. It might only be the closed hi hats I have a problem with. The little resonator or whatever you throw on the drums at 1:50 sounds really cool. Nice subtle touch. App Recording 20211117 1131 I like your ambient style a lot. The drums work better for me in this track. Just being a touch quieter helps. Not much else to say other than it's a neat tune. |

Everyone here makes good stuff! Sometimes it takes a bit of energy to listen to an amateur's work, it can feel like a chore-- but when I do it's almost always rewarding. I have a whole folder full of old xlt tracks, from when we used to drop them on file sharing servers rather than the stupid cloud. |

yeah i prefer the underground to what i hear on the radio id rather listen to something no one's heard of than what everyone else is listening to except for aphex twin, ceephax, and squarepusher |

Whats the best ceephax alb? I have a few but I don't listen to him often. I just turned on "Hardcore Wick" and I'm jamming hard to the titular track at 4:40. Honestly, I listen to like 75% autechre and 25% everything else. It's a problem but I can't stop.... for almost 20 years. |

Listened to both and reiterating that your ambient pads super solid. Love the little creeper that comes in at 0:55 on "App Recording 20211208 1744." It seems so simple, some really lush cerebral drones with a little skittery beat on top.. but there aren't many people working with this kind of sound, which to me has it's roots in SAW2. I don't know why this isn't more of a genre and "acid" is. Maybe I just like it more than average because your style seems to veer kind of dark which is in my direct wheelhouse. |
