Peter Falk in 'em

A Woman Under the Influence?

Peter Falk is a construction foreman or something, and Gena
Rowlands is his mentally ill wife who he loves deeply - she
is fucking incredible in it, it's very compassionate - one
of Cassavetes' masterpieces

nice one, makes you wonder if some mental illnesses are
related to intelligence or having a complex neo cortex, cos
most animals of a lower order don't seem to suffer from
them, well you get some that rock back and forth and nibble
their fur off but you don't get the complex irrational
behaviour you see some people get.

Makes me think if we were any more intelligent with bigger
brains we would all be fucking mad

>>yeah my brother had to put himself in respite ones in a

respect for that amount of self-monitoring,and guts to do
it
My mam had a nervous breakdown when i was 9 and never worked
again,i remember thinking at the time, like, just fucking
chill out, stop thinking... why cant you can't you just turn
your brain off...

Yeah, im not sure its something I could bring myself to do,
Id probably just go to the park and lie down in some nettles
or something

Hope your mum is better nowadays. My mum can't switch her
brain off either, she doesn't go to sleep til 3 in the
morning even though shes 78

My dad tried to hang himself half heartedly when he was
drunk once, but cos he was six foot tall he was quite a bit
taller than the washing line, so it didn't really work.

When i was about 13 i wrapped the cord of the electric
heater on the stair landings round me neck and said im going
to do myself in, I laugh at how poorly thought through that
was. Would have just landed on my fucking head loooool

i honestly dont think there's anything other than a
half-hearted go at suicide... like i am somehow naive enough
to think that no-one deep-down wants to do it..
got no reference frame for talking about topping myself
whatsoever... i was listening to Rupert Sheldrake talk about
genetic resonance this morning and that's literally the best
I can do...
still, it is pretty fucking hilarious/wicked that we can
discuss this over t'internet, feel a little bit
nicer,hopefully

Yeah, I can't ever imagine actually doing it, its just one
of those overly dramatic teenage moments.

My mums dad did hang himself, I only found out recently, its
obvious fucked up my mums life alot,

Rupert Sheldrake is definitely
a weird one!

we are inanimate matter made living, ergo we are of the

I'm not sure id go as far to say something like a planet is
conscious, like a Gas giant is mostly made of methane and
hydrogen and stuff, so going by that reasoning his own farts
are alive, and thats a very disturbing conclusion.
