Roger, I personally think mermaidman is the most harmless
benign idiot sock puppet on xltronic, but if you have so
little chill and so little self control that his kitten-weak
attempts at gaytrolling you are irresistible, then I suppose
I'll have to stop chortling at them and publicly commenting
like this.

Jesus biscuit crumbling Christ. Get a grip.

I know and I'm not blaming you here, you're the victim in
all of this. Roger and Epic's cyber-incontinence got you
kicked.

Two guarded homos there that dont reveal that much about
their real selves each giving themselves a reach around.
Yes, let's acknowledge Mermaidman's idiot savant potential.

Enjoy your laughable Benny Hill sultan, your little yappy
Islamic dog shithole of a country.

The worst thing about Brits is why they go to your blighted
country for a "holiday". I'd agree they were as thick as
shit.

To me SIGN comes off as "Oversteps 0.5"
Sure, it's a gorgeous opening, a fantastic closer, a few
decent tracks in between, but frankly I feel more bored than
challenged by this album. The overindulgence in endless,
sloppy chord progressions leaves me rather underwhelmed. I
dont think that has ever happened to me with a brand new Ae
album before. Oversteps - never among my favorite Autechre
albums - is better than this, imho. Oh well. I've heard
rumours of a second new album to be released shortly, so I'm
not complaining.

“ To me SIGN comes off as "Oversteps 0.5" ”

Bit lazy there. Unless it’s the lack of beats that makes
you associate the two albums.

It reassures me in a way that some people who are mega ae
fans (beats) don’t like it much. That’s how great they
are.

For me this album feels like a lot to do with suggestion, no
matter how big it sounds.

There is no need for violence. I'm entitled to my own
opinion, but not to my own facts - and the fact is that any
new Ae album is the best Ae album ever! I just didnt feel
this one that much and that's my problem. The Oversteps vibe
I'm getting is sooooo reinforced by the cover art... maybe
that IS lazy, i dont know. I also have this sneaky feeling
that this might be the sort of Ae album that the black and
death metal crowd would actually like. Maybe the title is an
abbreviation for Satanically Inclined Godlike Noodlings

not that fussed on it.
still think that the 2016 and 2018 live sets are better than
most of their LPs and amongst the most amazing music i've
ever heard...
it's amazing how different they are live tbh, really truly

i don't even mean "different" like they play different stuff
- i mean like it somehow instantly makes tonnes more
sense... Like, i didn't understand untilted at all until i
heard it on a big fucking rig somewhere, with loads of
ppl,... was like OHH, i get it...

'd say the best thing about an autechre release now is not
whether it's good or having to ask yourself if it is good
but being old enough now finally (finally) and after so many
releases is a natural refrain from having expectations about
their music. when think selfly at myself about it, no
natural thoughts now about what it should be or what it
sounds think they should be putting out now or how long its
been since they sounded X or that this next one should be
sounding y because the last was z soundedened. but instead
just hey new autechre tunes and no fancy in the head build
up anticipating or expectation and simply is what it is.
and to listen through and not have any opinion at the end of
it contrasted against any expectation. just more music and
ideas to add that all eventually find a nice place for me.
simply can't find a complain about new autechre
