It is a good film. All natural lighting, Leonard Rossiter,
fabulous.

Once again you have gone up in my estimation Umbro. My
favourite Kubrick, if not my favourite film of all time. The
mere mention of it gets me excited.

Yes I love how it looks but also enjoy the vibe and the
acting and everything. A joy to watch!

Ive been watching Spielberg talk about Kubrick this morning,
so good timing.

I wouldn't say, for me, it's my favourite Kubrick, but I
don't think I've invested myself in it as much as some of
his other films. I put off watching Eyes Wide Shut until
last year and I was blown away at how good it is. I think I
was just worried it was going to be shit, what with Tom
Cruise and him dying before it was finally finally
finished. ANYHOO, I also put off Lyndon til quite late and
yes it is astonishing. Will watch again over the weekend
thanks to Umbruh Moments and the Zilty Enthusiasm x

Eyes Wide Shut is one of my all time favorites. Vastly
underappreciated and misunderstood upon release. I haven't
seen Barry Lyndon, have to give it a shot.

It's my favorite movie. Every other scene is like a
Renaissance painting. Sure, the story is slow-paced, but the
way it progresses from rags to riches to rags again is
ingenious.

It's the only movie I've seen 10+ times, I think.

It is a masterpiece. Full metal had more of an effect on me
a youth. All war films being anti-war films.

This is a great film if you have not seen it. Normally a
full copy floating around on Y/T.

It has a lot of potential but overall it feels a little
rushed (Kubrick took forever and the results were better for
it). Might have been better had Kubrick made it. Spielberg
movies always have happy endings. Were he still alive, he
mightn’t even have directed it (as he wanted Spielberg to)
but his presence and dedication to the project would have
given us a much better film, imo. That said, I liked it.

I remember having a good time, but it’s not memorable for
me. I agree, had Kubrick directed it we’d have had a
darker film and probably much better.

I don't think it's a very good film and it's dated badly.
Ask me another.

No, the last thing I want is some bloke's greasy, sweaty
minging arse in my face, or having to cup some cunt's balls.
No. I am not gay.

Ask me another.
