yeah, i picked it up at a second hand bookshop in warrington just before i went to uni in salford. kept trying and failing to understand it, it's very much of its time (mid 90s) and refers back to other stuff i hadn't read. stuck with it though, there's some interesting stuff in there
side note: when i first got my flat years later, i was convinced that some shadowy bilderberg-ish group was using lasers to print subliminal messages on my walls. also, that anti-fascist groups had managed to hijack the technology and had printed poetry for me all through this book. pretty crackers, heh

a lot less crazy, though i had a tribunal this week to see if i could stay on as an informal patient instead of being legally detained - no dice, unfortunately. i'm still waiting for the report as to why they've decided to renew the section

i sometimes have my battles with ocd, panic disorder and depression but never really had a psychosis. there was a time as a kid when i thought, people around me were making fun of me, whispering silently, calling me things. but that went away.

yeah, i feel ya... panic attacks are the worst, haven't had one in a while. i'm on sertraline for depression, i don't think i need it really but if i start second-guessing their regimen of meds i'll never get out of here. not that it's terribly restrictive though, i've got enough leave to go into manchester, go to galleries, library etc

technically they wouldn't have been able to hold me but i've had to give up my flat so i would've stayed on til i found a place to stay. it's more of a symbolic gesture than anything, wouldn't have affected my day-to-day
