Baffled that Roland doesn't rake in an ungodly amount of money by making a letter perfect Roland-branded analog 303 themselves. If they no longer have the capability, hire people. |

they are milking their older legendary analogs with digital emulations so far there was the aira tb-3, boutique tb-03 and the cloud 303 plugin. If they just released analog 303’s and 909’s then that would be the end of story plus it’s cheaper this way. i’m sure there will be more digital 303’s from them with more features or improved emulation |

They could do the same thing with analog gear, have a line of pristine clones of their early stuff, then every year do iterations on it that add features and different filter types etc, add voltage in / out, maybe a Roland branded 303 filter for eurorack, new algorithms for random patterns, and so on. People would eat that shit up because it says Roland. Weren't they already doing some System 100 modules? Or was that also digital emulations. |
