oh shit, you're completely new to them? if so you are in for
a treat. do what i did and start with in sides then
snivilization, you will be hooked

Ok will try those

I had the bagpipes album when I was young, think it's called
o

i guess you're thinking of "the middle of nowhere" with the
"O" on the white cover - that has a track called style that
was re-jigged with all bagpipes for the simgle, calling it
bigpipe style. it's alright but they've done better

umbro i keep forgetting you haven't heard belfast or chime
or satan or halcyon or impact, i recommend you sort it
aaaaht

gonna post some lesser known orbital bits if i can find em
on youtube, like this sasha vs the light remix of
the aforementioned belfast

in sides is probably their most Quality release but i'm
partial to the first album myself. very cool fairly
unpretentious progressive techno

yeah it's a goodun for sure

i didn't get to see them live until the altogether, which
got slightly duff reviews at the time, but i really like.
although it's a bit Quality (if i'm reading the implication
right :)

ah i think you're reading it right but it really wasn't
meant as a slight against in sides, i do love the album! i
don't think i've actually listened to anything after in
sides, i'm glad to know it's worth something.

[a few weeks ago i listened to post-beaucoupfish underworld
and as expected it was mostly horse shit, very sad]

yeah the only one worth having post-beaucoup is the live
album, "everything, everything". it's more than a best of
(kinda), really shows off their crowdpleasing festival
techno vibe

from A MAN WHO WRITES ALL IN CAPS

I had them at the time, lost them/gave them away/binned
them... and then picked them up again a couple of months ago
in a charity shop. I bought them originally when I was in
Brighton because we went there to see them live, and I don't
know if the cover(s) are of Brighton beach but it looks
very similar.

Big Stew' Lee fan here. I have the fortune to live in a posh
bit of North London where all sorts of media types unload
their promos and what-not (I know I want win any fans with
this but I got a butt-load of Gay Dad promos the other. I
LOVE THAT BAND). I have got some pretty random/epic stuff,
not the Gay Dads obviously, ... a load of pristine
soul/dance 12"s from 1985-86 the other day, some real
belters. You worry if someone's died and ... that's
their collection, but... if it goes to a home that wants
them and not just collector scum then I think
that's... something.

i'm sure they've found a good home with you mr wilco (aka
gay_dad). have you read stew's new book yet, "march of the
lemmings"? i'm just about to start it, just, have
been for a few days. but i need to charge my phone now. and
tbh, try to shake off Brexit Fatigue

I've a copy of "How I Escaped My Certain Fate", signed, no
less, at one of his live shows. I was wearing a Ghost Box
t-shirt and we had a 20 second connection and I
started gabbling and my partner wisely led me away. I want
to read the new one (Lemmings?) and I'd like to see the new
show but it gets sold out so quick in London. Will have to
venture to the provinces (There's a Bella Pasta, Stew, and
the Corn Exchange)
