glass-style sombre farts, i'll take it all

very good. Best? perhaps

i am personally offended, recant or burn at the altar of
villalobos

stupidly obvious choice but I still find
loop-finding-jazz-records hard to beat.

Speaking of Villalobos, did you ever see that video where
someone, Aoki I think, was sent in to pry him away from the
turntables because he was brainspazzed in a bathrobe with
empty kleenex boxes for shoes and playing the same loop over
and over for god knows how long. If you didn't want that,
why did you book Villalobos in the first place?!

People of color were making this kind of music for years,
then some white males start copying it and suddenly it's
"intelligent" and "deep" and "cerebral" and rock journalists
give it its own genre: "minimal techno". Always the same
fucking story, smdh

ol' jelly neck, eh? *strokes beard* i can see that, yeah,
good call

i haven't seen that villalobos vid, no. i don't know if i
have a morbid curiosity or just want to have a handy visual
checklist for when i go all howard hughes on a drum loop

Is Shinichi Atobe minimal? This WILD SUMMER I've been
playing THE SHIT out of "Heat". Probably
not his most minimal, if indeed he is minimal.

Nothing against Jan Jelinek, but whenever I listen to her I
can't help but think to myself: What has this artist ever
done for the feminist movement? Then I log off Amazon Prime
Music, pick up my Kindle, and read some Elfriede
Jelinek—easily a much stronger advocate for women's
rights.

Only thing better than hawtin IMO. Technically 90's acid
techno. Rather than minimal. When rephlex died part of me
did too.
Kosmik Kommando

I want to like visible cloaks but I don't know how to
listen. I think of it as "music for sitting at desktop
computer"
