I need to watch me some the Thing again soon. Been ages.
Great movie, maybe Carpenters best? I love They Live, but
this tops it.

You got your goods checked, probably by your stepdad.

Very interesting... tell me, did you like your stepdad when
you were younger?

My mother had a boyfriend called chaz for a while, I used to
call him cheese. He was a cunt anyway.

I like a lot of Carpenter, including Dark Star and
Ghosts of Mars (which I must buy, actually), and I
love Precinct 13, Escape from New York, Halloween,
The Fog, They Live, Big Trouble in Little China... hell even
Prince of Darkness, Mouth of Madness, Christine.... and I
think his best is Halloween III Season of the Witch.

There, I've said it.

Health Check: A firm, well-proportioned stool, peaty aroma,
chestnut colouring, light glaze, consisting chiefly of
potato, egg, nuts and sage. 8.5/10

do you guys have a "family physician"? don't know the right
english term, in germany its hausarzt... your goto doc. i
remember having one as a kid. well, now i have one again.
maybe its normal when you're growing old and you live in a
smaller town.

A GP. Yeah here you have to have one. They delegate when
necessary. If you don’t have specialist care delegated by
your GP health insurance doesn’t help out. So if I have
back pain, I have to go to my GP who then refers me to the
right doctor. It’s a mafia.

than the majority of countries

my mum had a falling out with a woman in her bible study
group, and this woman died of Cushing's disease

my mum said "I shouldn't laugh but I was reading the
symptoms, a camel hump and a moon face"

I was thinking that's an odd bit of schadenfreude for a
Christian to have

russeldust will be fine. i remember my lil bro stepping into
a nail as a kid and only realising it when he took off his
shoes. it must have been a very rusty nail since we always
played in the old factory next to our house.

since my mom never gave a fuck about these things, we didnt
go to the doc or anything. i was actually thinking about
that when i went to see the doc after i forced my mom to
find my old vaccination card. my parents never cared about
this stuff since they were occupied with getting the food on
the table. might have been a good thing in the end, because
i would probably be more angsty bout these things

My blood is also good and not at all prehensile.

Prince of Darkness stands in Carpenter's "best of" circle,
IMO, despite some tonal unevenness and the most 80s mustache
of the 80s. I love it to pieces.
