Do you suffer an addiction?

just the ciggies nowadays. enjoyed a few spliffs this week
but it changes the tenor of my voice-hearing into a more
paranoid, adversarial thing i've noticed. can't make it a
regular thing anymore

I’ve had a few. I’m left with nicotine and weed now, and
I’d like to kick the former and not depend on the latter.
Alcohol doesn’t seem to be an issue in as I can go
without, but I realise I still end up having a few every
evening when I watch stuff.

Thanks!

Yeah certain strains elevate my anxiety levels, while others
do the complete opposite.

i think it's just the fact of it being against the rules
here and against the law in general that make me twitchy. i
got piss tested the other day and i'm gonna have to plead
boredom at my ward round next week.

booze and benzos were the worst to kick physically (glad to
be free of em, dirty drugs) but nicotine is gonna be around
a good while longer i reckon

I go hard on the biscuits and coffee but that's as strong as
it gets, if I had some access to psychedelics id be off to
wonderland

I might be an alcoholic, i am not sure. I usually drink out
of boredom and this caused me a mild form of depression.
There are times when nothing interests me and i only want to
sleep, or, as odd as it may sound, waiting to go back to
work again.

Yeah I was hooked on benzos for a while. A hazy period. I
was snorting sleeping pills on top of my usual. Made me
realise I was ready to take anything if I didn’t have
anything harder on hand.

caffeine. just as america intended. the government wants you
dependent on substances.

oh yeah, caffeine... i drink maybe 8-10 coffees a day but
that's only to offset sleepiness from other meds. it's a
long list, i guess i'm dependant on all them too but they're
not recreational

I smoke 20+ cigarettes a day.

i drink alone sometimes, but i drank two beers in the last
two weeks and i don't really miss it much. i might drink
something this weekend since im seeing some old friends
because im attending a burial at sea of my buddy who died.

never smoked.

one coffee a day or i get all itchy.

i rarely smoke weed, not a habit at all. maybe 2 grams a
year.

i was just thinking of ditching drugs 4 ever but i like to
drink a good whiskey from time to time and i like to smoke
some weed and listen to music.

i think i could get addicted to alcohol, since it gives me a
nice high and takes my brain on a holiday.

this is what alcohol does to me

Why is this funny, exactly? I said I probably enjoy
Quaristice more than you. You don’t strike me as much of a
fan. You never discuss the music so it occurred to me that
although I was saying it’s my least fave I should still
mention that I love it.

I’m being stupid replying to you, I realise this. But
I’m still at a loss regarding what is so funny! I guess
it’s funny having me reply.

Ha ha, quickly log off again, man!

It’s ok. You like to mock people and wind them up. I
don’t take it personally as I’m not the only one you do
it to. I find it very funny and highly commendable of you.
You really seem like a great guy! I don’t believe a single
supposed fact about you. It’s become increasingly
difficult to take anything you say seriously.

Anyway! Keep going!

Yeah research for this has been really promising. I like
that in micro doses it’s been proven to significantly
reduce depression. My doctor spoke asked me if I’d want to
try micro doses of pure ketamine to help my depression.
I’m like “yeah?”.

i actually don't drink coffee. i get all my caffeine from
sugary sodas. because sugar is probably my other addiction.
it took one month to wean myself off of caffeine the first
time i quit. even heavy daily weed usage was easier to step
away from and sugar usually isn't too hard to quit either.
but if i can quit caffeine, i'll have quit soda again too. i
like the bubbles too much.

Heroin, anyone? Much respect to the alcoholics and pill
