How about a single goose honk with like 6 minutes of reverb
on it.

A good fart is probably up there in all honesty. Very
satisfying sound filled with character, tells a story.

i come from the north cost, where we have tide. one time in
winter the water was gone but there was a lot of ice.
throwing stones on the hollow ice torsos sounded like
playing a huge steel drum. it was insane

other than that i love listening to rain in my attic
apartment... and farts, of course

That's excellent, the reverb makes it constantly rebound
around in your neural network making you unable to think of
anything other than a goose honk, the perfect meditation.

Wrong Gonk title

I like the pitter patter of the rain. And also how the word
“pitter patter” sounds.

Lucky. Someone local killed himself a while ago because of
tinitus.

offline welt on 2019-05-11 10:47 [#02577240]

I started having tinnitus at the age of 10. Between the age
of 12 and 13 roughly I constantly heard a sound like a
dissonant scale going up and down over and over and over
again in the corner of my left ear. It actually wasn’t
that bad -du-du-du-Du-Du-du-du.... . Now the tinnitus is so
mild that it feels like it’s completely gone

offline RussellDust on 2019-05-11 10:50 [#02577242]
Points: 15922 Status: Addict

Gosh, glad it’s more or less gone!

I get it from time to time but I do something with my jaw to
create a bass sound which tends to drown out the tinitus
which then stops. Hard to explain really.

i like when it becomes muffled for a while, seems like
you're taking off on a plane or emerging from water, or
reaching a fake nirvana

yeah surely insects on a smaller scale perceive the world in
a different way, everything probably sounds really slow or
sped up or something, don't spiders have ears in their knees
freaky but cool

offline RussellDust on 2019-05-11 13:51 [#02577282]
Points: 15922 Status: Addict | Followup to Hyperflake: #02577275

Yeah, if you’re smaller you’re gonna experience things
differently, insect, mouse or cat! For one the smaller the
creature the slower time will seem.
