Hello xlt-

Last night I had a dream.
Well, it wasn't a dream as it was a thought before bed.

Actually watched a short documentary about how people are
pretty lonely these days. And how online communities like
this actually serve a lot of deeper meaning than just
talking rubbish about IDM/EDM or whatever people call it
today.

I have not been here in probably 6-7 years?
And I remembered what fun it was.

So this morning after I wake up, I log in (remembered all my
sh*t, surprising) and see it all again.

Same insane messageboard format that has been this way since
like 2005, with lots of the same posters

I can't say for sure, but I experienced a supreme comfort at
that.

--
Most of you won't care, which makes this place perfect:
I'm alive - still running and growing a business I started
after college.

I still listen to electronic music (much less, and I thought
the Collapse EP was utter nonsense).
I bought a bunch of synths, and do that sort of stuff, and I
fly a lot.

Oh, and for those of you who go back 15-16 years.... I still
haven't figured out the ladies and that damn thing called
love.

I will try to post some perhaps (at least less annoying
threads than this).

so, xoxo to you all. Thank you for still being here. It's
really good to see the old place again.

and also how the f*** is this message board still so slow?
:D It's 2019, don’t electrons move faster now? Didn't
some scientists figure that out years ago?

Hey nice to see you! Hope you stick around!
(You might remember me as Hobbes)

Cool vid, dadonck. Hope they’re all still at it.

Portnoy - ha, yeah, that was wild. I am still friends with
her (we dated for a bit, didn't work out). I showed that to
her once... like 5-6 years ago. Blew her mind.

Dadonck- yup, still in PDX.
I don't know what the hell that video was about, but the 10
seconds I watched was awesome. There are a lot of
synthesizer stores and people do crazy things here.

Old Hobbes - it was weird, I just thought of this place last
night and got a warm fuzzy feeling. So here I am

so you worked for 15 years and you don't have family. you
must have some money in the bank. will you take a break from
work?

mohamed - negative. Well, I mean, he's still a human/alive
I think. And there is some street named after him. And this
town loves sports (I don't care at all).
Are you impressed I know the name??

dadonck- very interesting you wrote that. I have decided at
the end of the year to 'retire' for a while. Going to do
the trans mongolian railroad (I travel a lot anyway), and
figure out what is next.

No family, got money saved, yeah. Not enough to never work
again, and I love working. But I've gained a lot of
experience for the next business.

See, this is why I come here. You guys know things. It's
weird.
I appreciate it.
