Music, games, movies, whatever!

Playing this, and reading this (based on
a famous Japanese novel). Both are brilliant! Lucky right
now. (Now watching the Big Lebowski on tv)

Yeah and they’re too fucking long. Cheer up, not
everything has to be “in proper order” and regulated for
the well being of a functioning and healthy society, BIG!

What are you reading, what are you watching? Do you play
games?

It’s good to let go sometimes. Old, thousand post threads
don’t represent this place anymore.

gosh big you’ve become too obsessed with politics and
ruling. You’ve soiled my lighthearted thread with your
rules, and I’ve lost all hope.

oh yeah and i watched synecdoche, new york which was
awesome, a synopsis would be pointless as the film is off in
it's own little world but it's well worth yer time if you
haven't seen it

Playing: broken sword 5 (second time around - maybe I’ll
finish it this time) + just had a predictably short Rimworld
session - as usual everyone became depressed and idle and/or
starved
Reading: Asimov - the gods themselves (was cheap on amazon -
thanks bookbub)
Watching: Maniac (Azumi is amazing)

difficult book full of painful truths.

I always read many books simulatenously.

Books I'm reading for the first time right now:
Don DeLillo: Zero K
Martin Heidegger: The Event
Jakob Böhme: Aurora
Raine Maria Rilke: The Book of Poverty and Death

Then - besides that - I'm constantly re-reading parts of
books I've read many times before. Books are made for
'cyclical' reading it seems to me. The idea that you open a
book, read it from start to finish, and then put it away,
seems bizarrely wrong to me.

Reading: WTF? by Robert Peston. In one of my interminable
tales of "Very light brushes with Celebrities" Mr
Peston sat next to me on the bus once. I was, to my shame,
drinking a can of cider at the time. He ducked in and sat
next to me after some other guy, who must of worked with
once, tried to corner him, and Peston claimed he was a bit
busy and had some emails to reply to. But I think it was all
a ruse because he actually really wanted to sit next to me.

Playing: I am playing the bonus mini games you get on
Resident Evil IV, once you've finished it, on my PS2. While
drinking cider.

Music: I don't actively listen to music any more, certainly
not "Collapse EP". I listen to spain's RNE Radio Clásica
station online. Less talking than BBC Radio 3 and a better
selection than Classic FM. While drinkng cider.

had a blog.

It definitely influenced a lot of writers. (It’s only
seven pages)

Ah yes, I recall Twilight Zone had an episode based on it,
but I think some French lot filmed it. They get away with it
because I don't think there's any dialogue. I was thinking
about it the other day, tbh. Though, hanging is never far
from my mind.

Good story!

Speaking of "French films", have you seen "The Kidnapping of
Michel Houellebecq" ( L'enlèvement de Michel Houellebecq) ?
I might watch it later on Amazon, only £3.49...

Ooh had neve even heard of it, sounds fun! Might have to
Held it out also!

Yeah that short story clearly influenced the (brilliant)
movie Jacob’s Ladder.

just finished reading Priestdaddy by Patricia Lockwood;
mostly about a part of her life, but also about her Dad, who
suddenly found God whilst onboard a submarine and being
subjected to a VHS of 'The Excorcist' about 70 times. He
later converted to catholicism and became a catholic priest
with a wife and kids.

slightly disapointed with the last Bojack Horseman season.

but i'm not sure: maybe it's natural, where it is now

(Bojack is the best running show)

Bring me to the second best: Better Call Saul. have to wait
first to see how the season plays out
