I don’t like to be stressed out when playing but most of the modern games stress me out. It took me two hours to pass a small level in battlefront 2. Only the fact I was flying a Tie fighter kept me going. Do you still play? Are you good at these shooter games? |

i used to be alright at bullet hell shooters and retro-style platformers on the pc but i've been without for nigh on 3 years now. reflexes will be blunted. haven't played a console since ps1 days, apart from a few goes on call of duty at my mam and stepdad's house. i was shit at it, legitimately awful |

Certain genres I am utterly shite at, like fighters, still play them for fun though. I think I'm becoming less interested in drawn out story or goal orientated games and gravitating back towards arcadey stuff where you just play until you get a score. I bought Prey, Nioh anf Fallout 4 but couldn't get in to any of them but am happy just sticking on gran turismo or tekken and enjoying losing/winning. |

As truly lame as it brag about this, I used to be really good at online shooters. I had really fast reaction time and once I knew the maps, I was consistently #1 (or near it) score in every server. Fast forward 10 years, and I am utterly, irredeemably, shit. I don't have the reflexes I used to (at all), and I don't have the time or patience to practice the hours a day required to have a chance. I tried to give it a serious go on Battlefield One, and I got so mercilessly demolished that after a few weeks, I realized it was time to throw in the towel for life. I do, and have always, liked RPGs the best. I play those and platformers now. And shooters, but only offline. Brutal Doom is amazing. |
