Tell u what, the mistake they made on the 2011 remake is
putting the dog running in the snow, and those synth strings
at the end. Just made you realise how FAR fucking superior
the original was, just as u were walking out of the cinema.
Weird move..

I never watched the 2011 one, seems absolutely insane they
made all those practical effects and left them out for
subpar cgi, also seems like it abandons the internal logic
of the first film where the thing tries to assimilate people
on their own. So I have no desire to watch it really

It's a fun bit of fluff, the CGI ain't bad actually, but
it's not a patch on the etc.

There's a film I saw back last year that was pretty shit
really, but it used all practical effects... It was like a
homage to Carpenter films, I can't remember the name of it
now. I came away thinking, yeah, that was fuckin ace... It
was set in a hospital I think, and was like Precinct13 in
that respect, .,,.

i'll have to check it out

I usually only go the cinema about 6 times a years this year
though ive only been once or twice
