yeah I think the mummies should be reburied themselves after
all historical data has been recorded, their sarcophagus
should be kept for future knowledge about ancient history I
know seeing them in Liverpool museum really fired my
imagination as a child

I often wonder what secrets are buried, vast chambers and
temples filled with god knows what, I suppose that's why I
like Indiana jones films so much

This new sarcophagus is interesting, people are speculating
it could actually be alexander the great because of its
location, also the alabaster bust found with it looks
Hellenic in art style rather than Egyptians, im betting on
one of the Seleucid successors, but who knows if it was
alexander the great that would be utterly amazing

yeah luck what they left us, monumental temples, statues of
indescribable artistry, works of literatures of limitless
imagination. What are we leaving future generations? plastic
forks and movies with the rock in them

Don't be so down on modern life, humanity's recent
achievements are just as amazing as those from thousands of
years ago.

can say is a lot of stuff is made now with impermanence in
mind

This thing weighs 30 tonnes, the lid being half that.

Must contain some kind of plague.

from little I know about these things, it probably contains
another sarcophagus with a coffin inside, bit like
matryoshka dolls, but yeah even taking that into account it
is unusually large, the fact its granite as well shows you
that it was for someone very prominent.

I reckon only one was dead, the other two buried alive with
food and drink, hence how deep the sarcophagus was. But
you’d still be right with the liquids... one thing seems
obvious, it might not seem so exciting now, I’m pretty
sure it’s not a common tomb. I look forward to knowing
more.

yes its a shame really that they were in such a terrible
condition, as you say its definitely and A typical tomb, I
doubt they were just army officers as the article says, but
what do I know?
