read the whole thing freqy its short and unoffensive.
now what i wanted to draw your attention to is one part in particular:
----------------------------- After that initial splash, Norfolk thought it was a “job well done” and he would move on. But his then editor James Harding, now director of BBC News, insisted that he work on the story full-time and continued to encourage him, as does the present Times editor John Witherow. The support was “unprecedented”, he says, especially now that “it’s unusual for a reporter to get three months for a story, especially one that doesn’t add to your sales”

so you see what that means?
people accuse the bbc of suppressing stories like rotherham. yet the director of bbc news for the last 5 years was the man thats most to thank for the story getting anywhere.

scraping the bottom of the imaginary barrel again are you.
no i am not gay and even if i was, you are just distracting away from your blury illogic.
Remember a few hours ago, today, freedom of speech march, no coverage right outside Theresa May's (shes the British Prime minister by the way.) were tens if not hundreds of thousands of people in protest.
nothing on the bbc news !
oh well, i suppose we can wait 10 or 20 years to hear about it on a wonderfully produced BBC documentry.
Remember the global march against GMOS, GLOBAL!! nothing on bbc not even on the world page!!
no you don’t remember? well maybe you were watching the BBC?
and also these rapes have been going on for decades parents have contacted police and bbc yet it was quiet for decades.
after people found out about the peadophile rape rings in the BBC, again hidden for decades. many good people quit the BBC. And one person was murdered.
BBC make lovely documentaries though and sport and comedy and so on.
i bet you don’t even pay the licence fee, you just download or stream it illegally.
you do know how insanely ruthless their sub contractors are at extracting funds! no? .....no.
and as for the nwo newspaper you linked to, i would rather swallow my own vomit.

And your free speech thing is a alt far right and far right thing. They’ll get their bit on the news tonight. I also don’t understand why you see this as so worthy of talk, and proof of some news conspiracy.

hi dusty
I do not like what some of these people have to say. but they were right out side no.10 downing street.
tens of thousands of people in the streets, no bbc news coverage.
there should be unbiased coverage that simply speaks the truth of what is happening. from both sides, the bbc should not be silent or push an agenda.
but maybe the bbc are protecting us by being silent, just allowing upset people release their pressure valve?
Or maybe the beeb has been told to be silent by their controllers?

its not my free speech thing, dusty. it is just something i found, then looked on bbc for more info and found nothing (happening right outside the Theresa May's house)
Maybe they are busy editing it now and could not live coverage it?
it is important because if they do not report of these big events, what else are they hiding?
its very important, even if the event message is worrying. People need to be informed.

Even though I don’t think it was worth talking about, I understand your point.

We should strive for a world where everyone can be happy
it should not be too far away with technology development moving so fast.
just as long as we do not mess up the environment or a super volcano goes off or war or ...well, y know so many things. But we are so close if only we could stop all the attacks and focus on repairs. peace

You can filter things, no? You seem smart enough.
All news is manipulative, keeps people anxious. It sells. On the other hand I do like Vox or BBC (not counting the better newspapers) for other reasons. For educational stuff, science, documentaries. The BBC or whatever is not an entity per say, a lot of journalists with different opinions, values, and political enclinment often work for the same company. Comparing the BBC to let’s say Fox News would be abhorrant.
Anyway, fuck the news. At least we can all agree on that.

why you taking your frustrations out on me, I just want to talk about other stuff surely that's a legitimate reason not to get too involved in this sort of thing. If I felt like it would make one iota of difference what I thought about serious issues I might make more of an effort but it just seems like we are all pissing in the wind

The age of information overload truly has poisoned debate as you can make a salient point and some spotty Herbert can find about 200 ill sourced pieces of news to negate your argument. When its almost impossible to separate truth from fiction you end up with this stale quagmire of debate of people going over the same old bollocks

filter things? like...turn off the tv? well i could but...anyway
the point is: if bbc allows people with weird agendas to use its programming as platforms for talking about 'enlightenment literature is too white and should not be taught because its white' - then the bbc also has to allow people like tommy to go on tv and say 'british streets are too brown now' or it would be hypocritical.

I think most of my friends can see through the digital makeover of the ultra nationalistic far right, who have all these youtube videos, decent haircuts and nice inoffensive avatars, its the younger generation who I reckon can be really sucked into some of this stuff, because fascists don't look like fascists anymore they seem like reasonable people at first

dont be so sure.
brexit is the manifestation of old rightwing agendas. its all about race but masquerades as defending things like 'sovereignty' - yet you come to accept it cos tony benn said so. bad
you have weak spots. be careful.
