What do you lot like? I don’t mean stuff that’s
necessarily any good of course. Stuff you’ll watch with a
guilty pleasure, or something simple you enjoy when your
mood is down or if you’re sick.

Making this thread because lately I will find myself
watching reruns of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. I really
think some episodes are gold!

yeah my girlfriend watches that and sometimes I turn around
and watch a bit, its amazing how stubborn/resistant to
admitting how shit their food is, and then they have the
arrogance to say they know more about what to do that an
expert knows,

I love the undatables because some of the people on it are
really likeable and funny

Me too, love the show and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy
inside.

The undatables is ok yeah. I don’t watch kitchen
nightmares to see a restaurant fixed. It’s really about
people, families, co workers, and how they relate. I enjoy
spotting behaviours.

We’re all nuts, very clearly so. And yet hardly anyone
will admit to it, they would rather point.

You’re not really supposed to mention good shows but yeah
allowed

Any show with a consistent formula is comfort food. I love
the early Law and Order episodes with Jerry Orbach and Chris
Noth. Reliable as a jar of peanut butter.

haha! God, here come the tv memories. They met cute playing
chicken in sports cars, a couple of rich layabouts who had
Ernest Borgnine as their boy Friday and solved crimes where
they unmasked the jewel thief to reveal... a beautiful
woman?! As comfort tv goes this is eating a tub of chocolate
fudge ice cream out of the carton while wrapped in a blanket
crying.

ok, here it comes:

I watched a whole series called "love", all three seasons.
And I had some water in my eyes, at some moments.

I also watch comforting crap like:
big bang theory (rip stephen)
h3h3 (his podcasts are really soothingly boring)
hot ones
he-man
70s show
unbreakable kimmy schmidt
dragonball
baman piderman (flash nostalgia)

i have more but im tired. n8

can't wait for the new Roseanne episodes

BBT was quite fun for the first few seasons. Easy and comfy.
I’ve lost interest now.

gardeners question time is still going? they must
have run out of questions by now, I had to listen as a kid
25 years ago, and it had been going for years at that point

aye it's still going, soporific sound of the suburbs ftw.
must be some questions repeated if it's been going that long
though i agree, the doddery old dears probably don't notice

This is stretching the definition of comfort but I'm
watching the Netflix series Love with Gillian Jacobs and
Paul Rust and I wanna say it qualifies as comfort TV because
it completely takes you out of your world and into theirs
for a half hour at a time. I'm halfway through season 2 (no
spoilers please). Characters and situations are both
outrageous and sharply observed. And it has Claudia O'Doherty

Anybody seen Dimension 404 yet? It's narrated by Mark
Hamill.

From Wikipedia:
"Dimension 404 is an American science fiction black
comedy-drama anthology series created by Desmond "Dez" Dolly
and Will Campos, and co-created by Dan Johnson and David
Welch. It began airing on April 4, 2017 on the streaming
service Hulu. The series is produced by RocketJump and
Lionsgate Television, with each episode being its own
self-contained television film. The series is heavily
inspired by The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. Its name
is taken from the 1950s radio program Dimension X with 404
added on the end to signify its content is based on the
internet generation. The number 404 is a reference to the
HTTP status code signifying an error due to a webpage not
being found."

Agreed on Dent.

Yeah I'm that way about a lot of Netflix series. Though
usually it's the ones with a fantasy sci fi concept and they
look like they were focus grouped and frankensteined
together out of more famous ideas.
