Umbro what is the motivation for learning Japanese, is it to
get a big titted Japanese's girlfriend, or to tour japan
with your music?

I'm working these two weeks in Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes
appears to be what I imagine the dull bits of America are
like; swathes of car parks, business parks, retail parks,
empty pedestrian "boulevards" and low-rise offices as far as
the eye can see. I spend my lunch mooching round listening
to Hz by Main and freaking myself out. The rest of the time
I'm in some almost silent, sparsely populated building.

I can't just say that I'm an office temp. I have to make out
I'm channelling J.G Fucking Ballard.

most mediocre place on the planet

That's exactly how it feels. So I walk around
listening to drone-y, ambient, shortwave style music and
imagine I am going to be set upon by a band of mutants.

ive been to Milton Keynes more times that I care to count,
my gf has relatives there, one of my aunties used to live
there. All the people there look weird, like middle aged
blokes with weird features, its like some sort of dystopian
nightmare of a place, it has no character of itself, its
like a giant lego set

Well quite. When some people here were leaving for lunch
today, one of the women asked me if I was ok going out, if I
knew where everything was? And I said I was fine, and that I
liked having a look round. And she laughed and said how
boring it all was round here and I said I kind of liked it,
like it was the future but from the past. And she kind of
went "oh" and I assumed she just though I was talking
rubbish and being weird, and she went "... yeah, kind of
dystopian". And, all relieved that I wasn't a freak, or that
I'd at least found another freak, I said "Exactly. I love
it!
"

its definitely stepford wives type of place, yes I do like
the weird feeling, it would be great to walk around after an
apocalyptic event.

I forgot a bit of the story. When I said I liked having a
walk round having a look, the woman said to this American
guy who was there "Oh, you used to do that when you first
joined" and he went "Uh, yeah I did" with this faintly
haunted look on his face.

WHAT HAD HE SEEN?
WHAT CAN'T HE UNSEE?

"
Forget New York, Paris or London, for any roundabout lover,
it’s all about Milton Keynes. Nowhere in the UK has such a
high concentration of roundabouts. Depending on your own
view of what’s worthy of the definition ’roundabout’,
this roundabout Mecca has between 300-1300 of them. While
some people may view Milton Keynes as somewhere there
isn’t much going on, for any self-respecting roundabout
enthusiast, it can provide hours, days, if not weeks of fun.
Surely, the Milton Keynes’ Tourist Board has missed a
trick by not publicising this haven of circular
sensations."

looooooooooooool

the city will grow and grow, there are roundabouts on the
outskirts where there are only two exits and one of those is
the one used to enter the roundabout.

its like driving in mario kart test circuits

there was nothing but loads of weird small and large
roundabouts,... awaiting the buildings to be built around
them

perhaps aliens are building them as some sort of human
experiment, I doubt the council has a record of how many
round abouts there are. there could be like 3d roundabouts
you go through a loop or stacked on top of one another

its some sort of bureaucracy that has a life of its one, its
the only explanation for the ridiculous amount of
roundabouts, its insane.

dont fall at all

might costa bit to install this at halfords before people go
to milton

but their tourist trade would be enorm.
