Fah is cool now because calzone can go to his studio one
day!

I’m really glad you can now visit Ali Fafah’s cave.

Watch episode xx, they talk about hyperflake and mohamed,
hilariously. Couldnt stop laughing. Also i find it funny
that they look at zilty these days as a place to read about
themselves. They explain how they found xltronic when they
were young and starting out. I can empathise with that. I
was like 17 when I first started posting here.good episode.
Need to check out the newer eps.

I think what they are saying about futurism being the
coolest concept is dead on, there are 3 main themes I can
see in the majority of electronic music, alien/futuristic
worlds, computer technology/industrial stuff and nature,
gnosis, logos/knowledge psychonaut stuff. Which is all great
stuff I love, but we are all sort of hemmed in with the same
themes I reckon, perhaps we could make use of some new ones,
don't have any suggestions myself,

lets face it, the best thing about this show is the
patchwork of stuff of the theme, im sure that that one who
asked how cygnus likes the eggs really wanted to know that
before committing suicide

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2019-03-02 19:40 [#02570440]

no one gives a fuck about synths anymore, its all computer
made

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 00:59 [#02570461]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

first off because its more sustainable, unless you have
solar panels feeding all the machinery

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 01:11 [#02570462]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

only a for a few cases the waste of energy is worth, umbro
is one of those cases, not cygnus and fah as far as my ears
could get.

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2019-03-03 01:11 [#02570463]
Points: 30707 Status: Regular | Followup to mohamed: #02570460

yeah, I do really like the sound of synths but loads of good
stuff has been made just with a computer, whatever tool your
using its the person using them that's the real key

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 01:16 [#02570466]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Followup to Hyperflake: #02570463 | Show recordbag

yeah definitely you can make electricity sound like real
jazz or blues with a computer, and example was posted by
marlowe here on the site some time back, and that would
sound better than any proto idm-acid-detroit-techno shit
cygnus and fah made.

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2019-03-03 01:18 [#02570468]
Points: 30707 Status: Regular | Followup to mohamed: #02570466

yeah hopefully it wont be long till you can perceive the
difference between computer and synth, would be great for
people like me who have to worry about their electricity
bill

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 01:29 [#02570469]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

it will take a lot more training to make a computer sound
like the real deal

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 01:37 [#02570470]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

and that real is not the cult of the machine

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 01:40 [#02570471]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

its clearly what cygnus and Fah lack to do in front of a
camera conditioning all the things they said and trying to
argument a discussion from there, well done guys, top notch
humanity, reflects in your music

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2019-03-03 01:43 [#02570472]
Points: 30707 Status: Regular | Followup to mohamed: #02570469

yeah probably not in our lifetimes unfortunately, biggest
obstacle is computers are digital, and the best synth sounds
are analogue continuous signals you cant produce with a cpu

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 01:48 [#02570473]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Followup to Hyperflake: #02570472 | Show recordbag

building a real sound from a cpu shouldnt be hard if the
frenquencies of a event one aims at reproducing were
analyzed and recomposed digitally. basically all
occurrencies can be reproduced virtually, even the
micoscopic ones by just using filters.

yes I guess if something was produced at a high enough
resolution it would be indistinguishable for the human ear
to distinguish a difference

Not angry but i think i felt like crazone for a day,
cheering at fahs music a while back and now being spitted on
the face by him

it is. i can't understand it but somehow have a feeling that
it is valuable

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 09:30 [#02570488]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

you dont understand because you never replicated a sound out
of a pc, never had your ears opened enough to hear sweeps
into moving things, like crawling rolling paper or the high
pass filter of the coffee maker

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 09:34 [#02570489]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

maybe you have to be psychotic to have those faculties, like
your ears department fucked up so much you start to
reproduce the fucked up way you hear

offline mermaidman on 2019-03-03 09:36 [#02570490]
Points: 7991 Status: Lurker

so you're saying unless i'm psychotic, i'll never get to
hear the high pass filter of the coffee maker?

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2019-03-03 09:37 [#02570491]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

no, im saying that it takes a psychotic to make you aware
its an high pass filter and you never thought about it
before
