Roughly 7 years ago I let an alcoholic Russian stay at my flat for a while, who had "missed" his flight back home to Moscow. His visa had run out, too, so he was illegally staying in Germany. .... When I was finally able to make him leave me alone he begged for something to read during his bus-trip, promising to give it back to me. So I did lend him my Dictionary of Psychoanalysis. I never got it back. I still miss it. Evil alcoholic Russians. |

I do doubt it. I've seen depressed Western-European people and it was bad. But depressed alcoholic Russians seem infinitely worse: Just utter hopelessness and despair oozing out of every atom they consist of. (At least that's how it seemed to me.) ...And what was Freud's success rate anyway? Did he even cure a single patient? |
