track #10 perfame, again very good track like robin hood
gate, nice string melodies, sort of madrigal sounding, I
like it, would have fitted well on royal astronomy

I'm sick of this already, it's irritating me, I can't do
anymore bloodless electronic playtime whimsy.

Sorry, but It's a 'No' from me.

track #11 playbox, trip hop drum beat, not much happens in
this track, great beat bit don't feel the most is made of
it, perhaps I need to listen to it more, perhaps the most
BOC soubnding

track #15 Vinchlo, yeah very good track would have fitted in
seamlessly on royal astronomy.

Yeah solid release I like it, probably the tracks I'm not
keen on I will probably like given enough time

Well done Hyperflake. That's shown Mr Grumpy-snuggles that
we can stay on topic, hasn't it, yes, yes it has *tickles
Russel under his scratchy, beardy chin

you should have finished your review, would have liked to
see a more critical perspective, as it was obvious I was
going to like this album as I started the thread

Mu-ziq irritates me because Tango n Vectif is so good, SO
GOOD. But then after that, for me, the quality control just
bombed and he seemed to release just anything and I bought
too many of his records that I ended up resenting. The first
" Kid Spatula" was good, I remember. I only hang on to my
clear vinyl Tusken Raiders (Clear) 12" cause it might be
worth something. Hang on let's look on Discogs... 10 for
sale from £1.99. Well there you go.

yes i think you have a fair point, I need to get on discogs
and pick up some of these releases while they are still
unfashionable

for me, I pretty much like all his music. perhaps there is a
drop off point but I don't see it as large as your suggest,

I like jake slazanger albums quite a bit and in pine effect

mike p is a cunt out to be famous
he puts celebrity b4 art imo
opposite of aphex twin
who puts art first

for example sucking up to dubstep ppl and mary anne hobbes
running a label and putting out shit called juke
ignoring former artists like skylar whatshisface on
facebook
giving ceephax bad advice about multitracking in logic and
stuff instead of playing live acid trax

not that i really care either way, i know others will
disagree
btw keep in mind im drinking corona and eating salt and
vinegar crisps while typing this

Your probably right , I'm not a fan of planet mu, jerkstep
stuff, but I can separate the art from the artists so
doesn't bother me too much what he is like as a person

I don't know anything about him ignoring former artists,
that seems a bit shitty

what you mean by multitracking in logic

Running a label is not a crime. As for these other things,
it must be difficult having mates who are so much more
successful, maybe he’s trying to show a bit of attitude.

His music isn’t bad, it just doesn’t have much of a
repeat factor for me.

its not the you realize it immediately that you have to put
music first and not the desire to fame.... i bet you would
be happy to be signed by planet mu umbro, even if its not
the breakcore days anymore

im not defending mu ziq because i like his music, nor i have
bought any of his records, but i look at his face and it
seems to be a honest baldness he has

If you can't pay out for your artists' videos, mastering and
promotion costs - don't set up a label!

Planet Mu exists for one purpose and one purpose only: to
make Mike Paradinas look as impressive as possible.
