my cousin drove me and my other cousin up in a rental car. we rented a place for two nights via booking.com, a little two bedroom apartment with a kitchen located in the city centre. on the first day we explored chinatown and the docks, had lunch at weatherspoons near the railway station. and we went to walker art gallery, which had weird PC pictures of black women holding paint brushes amongst all the epic artworks. for dinner we had fish and chips with mushy peas down the docks. on the second day we had breakfast at leaf's coffee shop then at 12 we met indeksical at mcdonalds by bella italia restaurant. me and sam chilled out in the apartment, gossiping and stuff and he had a go on my elektron digitakt. he showed me his throbbing ipad lol, which had korg gadget on it. sam made a bunch of loops and played them out. we did a recording but it was pretty distorted so i dont want to share it. after sam left we met my cousin's mate from uni, ian who is a liverpool fan who works for everton (hehe) and a bit of a pokemon fanatic and his gf roxy who likes drag queens. we went on a bit of a pub crawl and tried indian street food at mowgli's. |
