yes he did wear flares and if you notice when he talks he
looks up quite allot above the other persons hair line. .he
did an interview about why he did that.

he is still the only person in the world to ever do
this.....and he wears flares.

yes it would be great, I think we were all going to watch
merry christmas mr Lawrence one Christmas but we never got
around to it, would be great if someone could stream movies
for us all so it would be simultaneous

yes is that an acting technique. I always remember the scene
in star trek 5 with his father, trying to save his life,
very good acting indeed

not an acting technique, as that would seem to suggest
other people can do this. No, this is something only Dr
McCoy does; in the entire history of cinema, theatre and
tv.

although i'm only kiddin, this is highly actually accurate
too. ;)

for some time now i have been wondering about names like
DeForest Kelly, LeBron James etc..
DeForest derives from the french "deforest"
meaning "from the forest" which is again a surname.
so far so good. but wouldnt it be like "jean De Forest"?
it puzzles me is how a surname is that descriptive, while
the given name is not.
usually its the other way round, like john e. smith
the given name being descriptive in this case to the
profession for example.
now, i know that surnames like john etc. do have
a meaning aswell, but its kind of forgotten.
im curious, where and when this occured,
but feel kind of unable to properly google it.
while its actually quite beautyful
i cant help it but it just drives me nuts cause feels like
wrong grammar to me ^^
so id really like to know if thats a common practice in a
certain region or time period

does anybody know this?

I always felt like a failure because I was so shit at
resistant materials in school, and my surname literally says
I should be pretty decent at these things

that show is so hilarious :)

first of all
sorry for mixng up surname and given name in my post.
i think you got it nonetheless.

hypes, id never thought of that.
and cartwright sounds pretty great to me,
would trade it for mine any time.

working part time as storeman/shipping to craftsmen
ive seent a ton of worse names btw ^^
especially in combination with their trade
(mostly plumbers and heating)
sadly all the fun gets lost in translation.

cheers, yes I'm not sure how much it defines me as a person
I suppose my dad was very good at DIY etc.. so perhaps the
potential is there

i dont knoe ijonz

maybe lots of people took names from the bible and so to
make everyone more uniuqe they had to have surnames.

Indians have names like Dances with the wind, & squatting
neville.
