...I'll never forget the good side...the genuine force of
Star Wars!

Mark is brave and right to be honest whilst the film isstill out.

love him more than ever.

Why is everything shitty nowadays not just star wars, is
this what it feels like to finally grow old

Too much cgi?

star wars could have been great if they respected the
original cast ..and the force... in other words star wars.

I feel like that but then I am older than you. So it's
doubly sadder that you feel the same way (or at least
similarly). I think, argumentatively (?) or critically we're
in a place where it's far easier to pick holes in things
than make anything "good" (not necessarily "new").

The thing about Trump. OK. I don't agree, hell I don't even
KNOW what his policies are. But I think it was important for
him to be elected to wake people up. Same as Brexit. Now,
both are shitty deals, but at the same time, what we already
had was a shitty deal. Culture's played out. the pussy is
played out, eternal fucking outrage about *everything* is
played out, Star Wars is played out.

It's done. It's over. Be trans. Be Muslim. Be vegan. Be
upset about Palestine. No borders. It's over.

a). Trump

b). Muslims

to try to make some connection with the arguments, i think
its part of being young to be upset about something, and
even of being adults (like SignedUpToLOL)

Everything sucks now because monopolies have shut down
almost all free market and thus movie making competition, or
any other competition. There is just a rigged corporatocracy
shell of kleptocrats remaining on a world that will be
steered into depression/hyperinflation. Even if there was
movie making competition, people live horrible lives in
agenda 21 coffin size apartments and all modern culture is
poisonous, and there's no way to live unless as a host to
parasitic landlords, so there is no
hope/positivity/creativity to even channel into art, and
since they're poisoning the population with soft kill food
there's no selection of charismatic actors, just zombies who
spend 80% of every day digitally escaping this apocalypse;
you can make zombie movies still I guess. Even if you make a
movie, amazon won't allow you to sell it, and the movie
theaters won't play it, and youtube will censor it, so
there's no profit motive either. But certain individuals who
still have enough money to be free have channeled their
creativity into superior art, though I hear the demo scene
is even dying from the Nothing too.

I’ve seen these montages and they’re rubbish.

I thought the fall of Luke to a no hope recluse was quite
apt. After all, he was the son of Anakin/Vader, and some of
that dark shit is in his dna. He then finally redeems
himself as the last hope for the rebels and the force.

luke would never turn to the dark side.

i like how he had an island like yoda on Dagobah

but he should have got stuck in, for real, and fly on the
falcon with r2 c3po and chewie and infiltrate a super star
destroyer, save the day, and NOT DIE! ( and han should have
been there too and leia and force ghost Ben all in the
falcon lol :)

and yoda should not have burnt a library jedi temple tree
thing. obviously.

talk about multi verse. anything can not happen. that would
not happen in a multi verse....oh wait, it did.

strange thing is although it destroyed so much of star wars,
i kinda enjoyed the film, the start was a bit too full on
for me. but it became very entertaining.

loved seeing luke and he played the anti-Luke part well.

It destroyed nothing. It just took an unexpected direction.
People should embrace that. TFA did enough fan service, and
of course it was heavily criticised for it.

yes drusty

but jedi temple library tree book burning was a little bit
destructive.

Yoda was showing him that it meant nothing; to let go of
symbols, of the past.

I like how he joked that the original scriptures were pretty
boring anyway!

Luke was grumpy yet adamant he chose to live at the place
the place those books were kept. Shows he was deeply
conflicted really, which had always been a staple of Star
Wars.
