Here's a little diddy I like to call "Imagining holding an umbrella while it's raining nails beneath a giant inflated triceratops floating on a lavender iceberg in autumn on the 7th monday since the great overlap of the man eating orange triangles when the cucumber hordes flooded the land with decepticon marmalade beneath a bridge made of tomatoes". I forgot to capitalize most of the "important" words like is conventional in titles.

I think this whole life is a punishment, perhaps for something i did in a previous reincarnation. The way the punishment is currently manifesting is I'll be all by myself in a tiny confined area, like a matrix cell, or that box the gimp sleeps in, with only my "art" to keep me company. That's like having mirrors all around where you can only see yourself. See, first the universe molded me into a hideous being, then made it so that this being is the only information reflecting into itself and bouncing around a punished neural network, like viewing vomit through a fractal keleidoscope. I think I'll turn into a gollum like creature.

Mev181 (above in desktop background reply) is 3/3 time sig, or anyway it's 3 groups of 3.
1 - - 2 - - 3 - - (repeat) (9 total time units) It's hard to make slow music sound good in modplug since it's just midi-ish looped tones, all the tracks above were made slower then sped up probably 1.5x or 3x. I like this slow song:
LAZY_TITLE
I made a triple nested time signature beat generating program (chooses 3 numbers and nests them like 5 groups of 11 groups of 3 etc), and linked it before but here is example output from that:
https://instaud.io/1zwI (like 8 or so different outputs stapled together linearly). It sounds excellent when high to me, but I'm not allowed to get high anymore because my land "lord" won't let me. A landlord is the most local form of government and exists for poor people only. It has the highest taxes, called rent (artificially high because the kleptocracy's laws prevent legally living elsewhere such as in an rv or in your car, or homesteaded land. People with houses are allowed to own rvs of course, but not people w/o houses.). The landlord has the most direct orwellian control over you, no smoking, no pets, even though you pay him every month out of duress to supposedly temporarily own it. And I had 1.5 bitcoin and cryptsy stole it, so they like to create false hope, everything is reverse robin hood, and every movement is astroturfed with their controlled opposition agents.

Thnaks Ducks (ducks is the cool word to call someone intead of dawgs now).
'4 groups of 5 groups of 3' just means subdividing time units. say u have a simpe drum (d) then snare (s), repeat 5 times.
dsdsdsdsds (that's 5 repetitions of ds). Now you want more "space" between d/s units so u have more intricate time to play with. so you space them out 3 units each.
d--s--d--s--d--s--d--s--d--s-- (5 groups (of ds's) of 2 (d+s=2) of 3 (3 units each).
Here are 6 more songs:
LAZY_TITLE
1. peaceful forest lullaby with "sweep pad" and "slow strings" icing (icing="detail" to accentuate other notes which were 2x slowered normal song). Gotta love those sweep pads and slow strings, the perfect combination in a peaceful forest lullaby maybe!
2. peaceful forest lullaby 2. might be useful for rocking baby chipmunks made of polygons to sleep?
3. a song made of 100% real notes! 4. a minor= melancholy + weird time signature again: 7 groups of 5 groups of 5. since the smallest subdivision is 5 units, a prime number, I made it so "usually" notes land on the 1st and 3rd unit of this 5-group (so the 5 prime number is thought of as 2+3 mostly but occasional intricacy that can choose any of the 5 units.
5. sonic airship zone ish or something? 6. a song. repeats twice and in 2nd rep a small section was selected to do f chord and unique notes mostly, instead of c chord and same notes.

the concept of groups of notes landing on other groups performing different 'movements' flies somewhere over my head, but the mathematical explanations of them is impossbile for me to reason in those terms

If you want I can give you all the notes to whichever track for you to try to "techno-ify/alienify" the sounds. It shouldn't be that much work to punch them in.
4 groups of 5 groups of 3. Hit a drum 3 times in a row, that's 3, easy. Repeat that five times. 3x5=15, now you have 15 time units. Repeat all that 4 times. 15x4=60, now u have 60 total time units, and you can basically assign chords to each macro chunk, then freestyle multiple melody parts that basically snap to the time sig "grid". All the final thing is is 60 individual linear time units (4x5x3), just imaginarily (no that's a real word) subdivided then subdivided again. In that 4x5x3, it's really mostly just 4x5. I only bother subdividing time into 3 micro units to add micro detail occasionally. In that song in post 02541076 the 3x5 parts multiplies to 15. 15 is also divisible by 5 (15 can be 3 groups of 5 or 5 groups of 3). So that lame modplug gm dls chips challenge lame trumpet sound part followed 3 repetitions of 5 instead of 5 of 3, which ultimately aligns every 15 units. Should I paste the notes of one of the songs for you to attempt alienification?
