creepy age gap

At what point does the age gap get creepy? Because I don't
get why a 35 year old would want to date a 18 year old..
outside of having a thing for very young girls.

My opinion anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ when do you think the age
gap gets creepy?

Islam, the world's fastest growing religion, doesn't have a
problem with it, so maybe *you* need to get with the times.

The older you get the less important the age gap is
apparently. If youre 70 and have a partner 20 years your
junior no one bats an eyelid but if youre 30 suddenly its
this massive problem.

Well yeah.

Take 5 years off my example, and it's a 30 year old with a
13 year old. Take 5 years off your example.. and it's a 65
year old with a 45 year old.

If they started dating 35 years prior though, that's kinda
weird.

When you start to get older try talking to someone 10 years
younger that you, and you get bored very quickly

i dont see a major problem in the age gap itself.
however girls around 18 often are still quite immature,
tend to deal less well with relationship issues and i can
see why it may look like an older man is taking advantage of
that.
on the other hand younger folks tend to benefit from the
mature.
ive been with women 6 and ten years older than me in my
20s.

the bottom line is, is she/or he mature enough. if a 18yo
can have a proper relationship that is not co-dependend or
anything like that, im fine.
i just doubt the majority of 18yos really are.
personally i find girls that age not appealing
relationship-wise.
and i find it rather ridiculuos in terms of conversation.
but its a close call really, the amount of behavioural
change is just immense from until like youre 22. any year
can develop a whole new person.
what i find creepy is the idea of meeting the parents when
she is still living with her parents and just about finished
school. or i could imagine it a bit awkward hanging out with
friends her age.
but what i feel doesnt have to be anybody others feelings on
that matter.

Age is just a number and love knows no bounds.

It’s creepy if there’s no love, but another motive
(money, sex, youth).

My old man is married to a woman quite a bit younger than
him, but they don’t look odd together, they fit well and
are head over heels. It’s cute.

You could ask the same for friends. I have a friend I see
from time to time who is quite a bit younger than me, but
he’s great, and his age doesn’t show in that manner. On
the other hand I enjoy the company of friends who are quite
a lot older than me.

Age gap is creepy if it’s a sexual obsession. Or if it’s
in order to live a fancy lifestyle. Imo.

I would generally agree with that, but recently I've been
working at this place and there's a girl who's more than 20
years younger than me, but we really have a laugh. One of
the things is, quite rare, is that we do have shared things
that we like, the Comic Strip films, old indie bands, and
she has a wicked sense of humour that's that great mix of
being "rude" and "funny". I do get conflicting feelings, I
don't *fancy* her, but I do get a warm glow from being in
her company and thinking that she would willingly want to
talk to an old fart like me. It's odd, if any feelings I
have I think they're paternal, like I want to buy her a hat
or take her to a petting zoo.

You're obviously very normal and like her company, and not
just how she looks or whateva

It mostly comes down to the way the bloke (assuming they're
the older one) views the lady; as Russell kinda said

yeah i know what your saying, its weird how your perception
of people change as you get older, i use to fancy younger
women in their 30s, when i was in my mid twenties, had some
good times, fortunately i still fancy women around my age
now perhaps slightly older but not really much younger,

You just check how they are with each other if you are
around any couple. It's fucking creepy thinking about age
gaps! Always gossipy pointless sorts who care about stuff
like that.

A cousin I hadn’t seen I years came for dinner last night,
just us two. He’s divorced since I last saw him and is in
a relationship. He seemed apologetic with the age difference
(25 years). There’s no money involved, she’s not a
bimbo, they’re just in love.
