I was forced to go on a trip with my mum and a friend of hers to meet his gay curly-haired angel Gerald somewhere in the faraway magical countryside. He had a very large black pig. Anyway, I forced them to listen to the entire album on repeat for the whole trip to Gerald’s. It had just come out, and I felt it was my way of getting back at them. They actually liked it in the end. My mum will still try and do “shimmy shimmy” from time to time. After one night there I begged to be dropped off at the nearest train station. I was no longer a child, but come on! |
