From what I know about fish, and this might be completely unrelated to frogs, is that they sometimes naturally change sex to certain environmental pressures. I know that frogs are highly sensitive to genetic mutations, they are sort of a litmus test to the environment, so it doesn't surprise me that pollution would bring about this change, it is worrying. I would caution though that their biology is very different and much more sensitive to mutation than the average mammal, so something that would bring about these effects in frogs wouldn't effect us, well I don't think so anyway. It would be better if these things weren't happening though |

I think literally hundreds of thousands of years ago actually I think its millions of years, and what I said is incorrect, apparently the evolved from something akin to small whales which have their testes inside their bodies, and the whale like creatures in turn evolved from land based mammals which is fucking mind blowing when you think about it, but its true you can trace the DNA and fossil evidence |
