i went to my parents place which i do like 2 times a year and found an abondoned yamaha ry30 that i havent touched in 15 years. i replaced the battery made a factory reset and it woks perfectly. i was thinking about circuit bending the thing and read somewhere that u basically just have to bridge some chips. anyone into that? any good tips? |

There's a ton of tutorials out there that explain it better and in more detail than I ever could. Once you know the basics (and safety issues) you can have a lot of fun, I guess. |

thanks! i just thought, well peeps used this thing alot in the noughties for idm and/or xltronixxx. just dont want to fry it, its actually a pretty cool drum machine and it kinda just appeared.. anyway ill post something on watmm. those gearhounds will jump on it, this place is more for existential morphism disorders apart from the streams of inherrent dense mummys |

i openend that bitch of a drum machine, such an autechre whore that is. and i bent it hard... mmmh hmmm. i just ordered some banana cables and stuff and ill puttin all of it into that lil piece of gear.. oh ja sounds pretty good, actually.. just bridged the rom chip. its an easy bend, no resistors or pots needed. just a lil patch matrix. i hope i dont fry the chip while soldering. wish me luck as im gettin in, as soon as my equipment arrives |
