do you have paintings in your house?

I used to have copies of Malevich paintings in my flat. Then
my girlfriend moved out and I was able to realize my ideal
of pure blank white walls.

On the wall I've a painting of Bowie by Hanal, a painting I
did do for an album Russell Dust never released, a landscape
painting I did do 'bout 20 years ago, a painting by an old
friend of mine who is "famous" enough to have his own
wikipedia page but I don't know what measure of "fame" that
is, some prints by an artist friend of my partner (doesn't
have a wikipedia page, ha!), some glass work thing by
another of her friends, and a mass production print of a
black virgin with black baby jesus, as well as one of what
looks like Montego Bay but could be fucking anywhere, a nice
print of a "Live and Let Die" poster, a framed poster that
came with Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Rage Hard" 12" and a
photo from a holiday.

"The gay nightlife" I got from either some old '50s sci-fi
radio show, or an episode of the Twilight Zone, or one of
those shows *like* the Twilight Zone, or maybe a hokey old
film, ... but it was a crew stuck on a rocket ship and one
guy kept whining about how he wanted to get back to "the gay
nightlife". Sure it sounds funny today but we can be sure
that he meant gay as in lively and joyous, and not in the
sense that he was chomping at the bit to get done up the
arse by strangers in a debauched chem-sex session.

I mean, we can be sure, can't we....?

Oh yeah! Sorry about that... it will surface at some point!
Love the painting!

I have bits and bobs on my walls. Used to have two rare
tDR/Warp prints, which I'll be replacing with a Roger Dean
print. My wife has a few things too.

Yeah i was being silly. Cracker was class though.

My landlord had loads of horrible prints up when we moved
in. We've replaced half of them and hidden them under the
spare bed.

We have a diagram of the skeletal system, a celestial chart,
diagrams of birds, a Jenny saville poster, Gustav klimt
poster and a heironymus Bosch poster.

Makes the place nicer

really wanted to get a saucy 1991 oversized, ah feck what
was it, some car company, calendar, in a junk shop the other
day... had a pic of a topless bird with a rifle on front,
was like ten quid.. got persuaded not to, to my shame. Might
have been Pirelli.

A mate of mine's parents (probably more due to the dad, but
who knows???!?!?) had that poster up of the female tennis
player with the bare arse. Can you still get it these days?

Yes,
yes you can

Wooosh! That little nugget of sarcasm went straight over my
head.

Seems pretty obvious now. Yet for some reason when I first
read your post it was as if you were 100% serious.

It's got me thinking to be honest.

I have lots of plants. Do you lot have plants?

My ex uncle had one I think, but then we all held a secret
meeting without him and decided to have him barred for life.
He looks ces in the forest now. I sometimes bring him eggs.
He likes eggs; they remind him of creation, and he likes the
idea of consuming it.

There's one of a blokey holding a babby that i remember
being a sort of counterpart to that. Iconic pics fodder.

Haha! The combination of the poster and then that Paul
whatsit banging on about "third-wave feminists" in front of
a really tawdry looking primary school "map of the world" -
to give them impression his bedroom's some global truth
node... you really can't make it up.

One does, Mcqueen, recall the tender "L'enfant" photo, along
with the bird lying on the floor with a snake artfully
draped around her, Jimmy Cauty's "Lord of the Rings" poster,
and any number of those air-brush art "erotic" robots. JUST
IMAGINE having all that up on the walls in your gaff. I
totally would
. I may yet totally do it!?!?!!?
