avoid squares
try collecting more than ten triangles

for some reason its not running so smooth on this one.
i think my graphics card is crap. its a low wattage card.

i got lots of triangles

then this little square came along

i saw it ,, i hit it... i then immediately got hit by a
rectangle and died.

i thought id get special powers. a shield or something?

then it goes back to the title screen and the sound of the
special square was still playing.

its a bit glitchey on my old nets machine..

i got the square. i went through a warp thing

when i first played this game i was avoiding the triangles
and so never got a square. meanwhile hyperedflake was
winning all the way!!

triangles add lots of points to your score,
so maybe youd have beat hypie if you had known :(
it was mentioned in the game descriptions and
in my initial thread though.

however i deliberatley did not mention the warp thing after
collecting the rotating square/diamond,
it was meant to be a surprise, so when you discover the zone
the first time you go all "whooaaa" .-)
it is safe to stay put right in the middle of the screen and
supposed to give you a breather all the while the aligned
rectangles pass you by closely

i thought about powerups, allowing you to pierce through the
rectangles and split them in half moving away from the
player afterwards, but i failed at programming that.
i have no idea why the rectangles look a little choppy at
times,
the events are rather simple and everything that leaves the
screen is terminated quickly.

i think hyperflake has created a supercolider patch to auto

play the game to perfection, then he manually fails the
patch to make it look like a human error, as long as its
above what ever score I get.

i cant get higher than lvl 15 atm either
im thinking of readjusting a bit,
lots of the rectangles seem to pass by the screen.
increasing the rectangle spawn but making them a bit
smaller,
so you have more maneuvering to do in later levels,
could be more fun.
btw since noone has reached lvl 20 or higher,
be aware theres a change in lvl design too .-)

dusty:
im afraid there is no touch implemented in this version,
but im curious does it run on ipad? is there an error
message?

btw i didnt play the online version 500+ times
the game just uploaded my score 500 times before i fixed
that ^^

yeah i didnt implement touch controls in that one
could do an update though, did one for my phone.
i found it pretty easy to control just by touching either
the lower or upper half of the screen to move up/down.

and yes i cut em some years ago,
have long normal hair now :)

cool, glad it does!
just leaving left index and middle finger hovering above the
screen i found it pretty easy to control. its crawling slow
on my phone though unless i use the offline android version.
but then its no highscore submissions for me .-)

its a html5 based game maker software.
so easy to use...
you can try the free version limited to 100 events

if i ever get to setting up a website with scores tabels
that would be nifty,
but my web skills kept me from doing it so far.

id love to have a own site with all three smaller games i
finished so far..

its more or less sprite oriented work,
so if you want to have different scaled rectangles as i
have,
youd have to find a way to create them without getting
blurred.
and not having hundreds of sprites of differently
proportioned rectangles.
in my case i generate randomly sized invisible sprites and
create four sprites with one pixel width. their length can
be scaled without looking blurry. next they will be pinned
to four coordinates of the invisible sprite and theri
lenghts scaled properly to form a rectangle. the invisible
sprites are set up with parameters describing their
movements.

you could probably do all this with flash way easier,
but i built lots of other stuff in this engine,
so i stick to it.

other games i work on usually dont scale sprites either,
they are jump n runs, shoot´em ups and other 8-bit stuff.
which this soft is well to work with.

yeah we fight to get tri's....and if one gets a square both
go through the warp thing.

2 player would be so much more fun.

only prob might be latency, maybe a correction slider? to
add latency to one player.

otherwise the one with best keyboard monitor,pc and
connection would get to the tri's fastest each time.

but making a fair test on the latency? a ping wouldn’t
calculate the keyboard latency and monitor latency and so
forth.

its possible to make a latency test patch. flash a ball on
the screen and ask the player click the keyboard in
time....then take an average over 15 or so clicks.

?

just had a look into that.
usually there are certain events that are synced to a host
log in
and some that are down the priority list.
initial point might already be quite a challenge to sync...
but i will probably give it a shot sooner or later,
right now, training time, off to the gym!

Yeah the controls seem a bit slow on the iPad, though maybe
