I'm spicing up old memes. Another I thought of is OH DIARRHEALLY? instead of OH REALLY? It adds diarrhea to it. Which isn't hard since everything is made of diarrhea.

Phrase always reminds me of this Pharcyde tune. Nice little play on it at the end of the first verse

by the way entering a basketball shop was like entering the paradise for me back then. i even brought my mom there once, i remember her serious look, she bought me 235.000 old italian liras jordan shoes, i was seriously into basketball and hip hop music back then, she even gave me a magic johnson book. we werent rich at all, i was in high school and my mom was breaking her back as a cleaner

I love the 1. I have a couple. In fact I'm ashamed to say I have a few of every model from 1-21. Then I stopped with this sneaker madness. Something that like you, stems from my childhood. I played basketball every day, loved the NBA, and first fell in love with Nike in 88 when I saw the first running shoe with a visible air bubble. My mum couldn't afford them, but I dreamed about them. First vis air was a pair of Agassi in 90 or 91.
Anyway, haft and you have reminded me of a certain era, so I'm going to post some links.

Not sure why it's near impossible to find this track In its entirety for streaming. I guess they have many minions working to 'protect' their music.
But yeah, them, Premier, Jeru, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Erik B & Rakim, Mobb Deep, ...36 chambers, and the first load of Wu solo albums, that fucking track by Nine, the beginning of the west coast sound, Biggie, Craig Mack... I could write a huge block of text of a list. It was fun, exciting, at times dark and melancholic (Wu, Mobb Deep).
It all changed for me when a friend got an early white label in NY of the Score by the Fugees. They weren't big at the time, no one knew about the album, even hip hop lovers, and we thought it was pretty cool. An album to smoke to. I even remember us finding the Enya sample cool. In "that" track.
A year later they were so huge, that it kinda put me off, possibly fo selfish reasons. Then Lauren Hill made ignorant comments that didn't help. Then I realised hip hop was becoming mainstream. It can be a great thing, I'm all for great artists getting out there and reaping the rewards, but something about the ethics had been lost. The reason some of these people were making music had gone, and it could be heard in the newer stuff.
Hip hop was becoming a bit Walmart, and was slowly beginning to show how it would end up today. Mostly boring mainstream crap.
Thank you for reading,
EpicMegaTracks

For fucks sake, the track I linked not only misses the first verse by Guru, but also the last vers by Lil Dap. Instead of Dap we have something that as the poster wrote is indeed "sub par".
Sorry.
