Looks great, costs £500 though. All my money is going on
sh101s. I have 3 now :-)

The sequencer and 500 presets kick the arse of the
competition.

You have three 101s and you're still buying them at the
ridiculous prices they go for now? I wish I had a 101
though. Even if I could afford them, I still wouldn't be
able to justify buying them unless I'm rich. Of course they
sound heavenly but also are very limited.

i don't know what that is but i feel at loss already. you
guys found a hangar full of 101s and selling them for cheap
without me?

yes i will buy a se02. many modern monos have all the bells
and whistles but don't sound as good imo.

people seem to like it if you're looking for a minimoog
clone. it doesn't have patch memory though. sh-01 is the
digital 101 plug out in a boutique box. pretty good
emulation. first when i heard about it, i thought it was an
analog remake. but no.

i want a blue sh-101 to cuddle please santa, thank you.

i had a grey sh 101 and i sold it to be able to move to
Canada. don't regret it one bit, but if i can get a tiny
sh101 that sounds anything like the original, ill go for it.
patch memory, the model d from the b doesn't have... right,
but if its 299 ill buy it and connect it to my 0 coast which
has no patch memory either. also, i like this here, mmmh
oooh ja:

Drexciya is cool, but Roland d 50 is king. Drexciya also
used the alpha Juno 1 which i can recommend. u can get both
together for around 600 euros

heres nice:

Digital Linear Arithmetic Synthesis. i have no idea what
that is.

it was Rolands answer to fm synthesis: it is (can be) sample
based, its noisy, its great. i just got a d50 and it gives
me the shivers. but i also want to recommend borderlands for
iOS just to put something new next to something old. don't
want to drown in nostalgia here ;=)

talking about fm, what do you guys think about the yamaha
reface dx? it's only 4 op, but sounds pretty cool. looks
easier to patch too. the older rack modules are good also
but i don't want to deal with the internal battery changing
and maintenance and all that.

what am i gonna do with 2 ops? i could make a bird sound and
a donk and that's it. maybe an ukulele too. maybe i'm not
sure though.

good techno for me has always been connected to the misuse
of technology. people were buying a 303 at the flea market,
a device meant to be used by guitarists that have no friends
and needed a bass player. so, back then u buy it for cheap,
so u can make some noise and have more money for living &
some weed. and then one day some pothead just wiggles on the
filter and voila! nowadays theres a whole market for synths
that can achieve this and that style. it took me a while to
understand oneohtrix point never. i needed to understand
that using a variety of synth presets can be an artistic way
of expressing yourself with music. its all about presenting
archives. reflected nostalgia. its like the earth has been
destroyed already and you're this last human in this capsule
that was shot into the universe. and all you can do is look
back into the past of humanity. its a bit like the holodeck
in star trek, just with the difference that you won't find
any other species in the universe and you're all with
yourself and a compendium of memories...
