of course it could be argued that preparing piano is post
modern nonsense. does a piano naturally not have a wide
enough range? take for instance this Morton
Feltman piece (maybe a tame example of what's possible)

Love it. Instrument misuse and abuse lead to Good Things.
The 303 was never intended to create acid, it was designed
as a boring musician's bass accompaniment. I also like the
Eyes Wide Shut piece. Both are good and earn my Mighty Nod
of Assent.

yeah its what i would worry about, looks dodgy, i know how
irritating it is when you break a string on a guitar, must
be well worse on a piano
