the other day i went to eat a pizza in this place renowned
for the good pizza, the pizza makes are parthenopeans, not
egyptians or chinese. i loved the pizza, but it was so hot i
burned all inside of my mouth, anyways after the pizza i
ordered a cake with coconut and chocolate. made me fly.

texture to the track, i know that sounds pretentious but i
mean it

the mid tom both sliders are on C2

it has some effects on it like filters, im playing it alone
right now but theres no point in the sounds it makes alone
as it is completely mixed with the other sounds,

here's a better bounce with the 303 working at a different
time line sketch2b

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2017-06-11 22:14 [#02522322]
Points: 31145 Status: Regular | Show recordbag

theres no magic, i just set a diffent start point for the
track and the 303 changes the way it sounds around the beat.
amazing bug, also found in logic 9

you could use the same trick for drums in logic 9, that
could make some really idm drums.

when u export a track in logic pro, they call it "bounce" -
you bounce a track. The track is kinda bouncy though ;)

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2017-06-12 11:55 [#02522333]
Points: 31006 Status: Lurker

yes i believe the technical term bounce originates at least
back to the 60s when they only had 2 or 4 track tape
machines and they would bounce a mix down to one track and
use the ones freed up to do overdubs, I think you could do
it a certain amount of times before tape generation/loss of
quality became apparent.

yes its satisfying making things do things they arent
supposed to do

yes, indeed!

I have some tapes that have definitely degraded over time
from taping over and over again. I kind of like that broken
up sound.

check this song I recorded onto tape, it kind of breaks up
but that adds to it imo

degrading tape
