didnt know he was in the army/RAF, real acheivement if
you're a midget
no Dad's Army on Xmas day anymore either. Can say we've
lived through something.

didnt know he was in RAF either, there was something
comforting about those programs, dads army, two ronnies
etc.. perhaps its because it reminds me of happier times
with my parents, brother

When I was a kid I borrowed an audio cassette of the Two
Ronnies from the library, it was like a compilation, and I
pirated it, I admit it. Sorry, Ronnie. Both of you. But I
used to listen to it a lot. I semi-remember one joke about
something like a nudist fell into a vat of molten metal and
had his "pumper nickled" - Obviously that was Barker and
not... Corbett though.

As much as I liked both Ronnies, now both sadly gone, one
cannot but recall Smith & Jone's skewering of their humour
with their almost hallucinatorily good
Two Ninnies sketch from Not the Nine O'Clock News.

You know, I did ponder after hitting 'reply' wether you
would take it as such. Not intended, though I could see why
you thought so.

a great loss him not doing comedy or so long ..every now and
then he'll do a character on QI and it's really great, very
nourishing; its like eating a big Christmas meal. Feels
great.

I have fond memories of watching reruns of the Ronnies on
CBC with my grandma. Clever wordplay, ever so slightly
risque, not as obstreperously silly as the Goodies nor as
tumescently lecherous as Benny Hill.

RIP Ronnie
