I hope I bite my words later on.

Schindler raises his son in an underground base with lot's
of cool weapons

think bladerunner is my fave film of all time, would be
great if they include did a scene like in the book where
there is a replica police department staffed by rogue
replicants

it could actually redeem itself by using more material from
the book, unpacking Mercerism and the significance of the
artificial animals... I'm 105% sure this will not happen tho

what I expect is more like

baby goose: dad, you taught me to hunt replicants, the
family trade

han solo: but you are half replicant, the son of my wife the
replicant

baby goose: wow this changes everything

what was the expiry date of Rachel?

fleetmice, can she really have children with captain solo?

will she age after 35 years?

if not? Will they make a cgi Rachel to show she has not aged
?

it seems that they do not age the same way as we,

as the guiness replicate dieded without a wrinkle it
seemed.

You're in the desert and you see Harrison Ford being forced
to read voice overs explaining the plot. He lies on his
back, baking in the hot sun, helplessly moving his legs, but
you're not helping. Why is that, Freqy?

The more I think about this the more I'm sure of it. Gosling
plays Deckard and Rachel's son, but they sent him away to
protect him as a child, and in a crazy mix up he got trained
as a blade runner, and then he finds out from his dreams
that he's half replicant and becomes the replicant messiah
and leads them to freedom, and also gives them life
extension, because of, oh I don't know, his hybrid blood or
some shit.

scientist: but this can't happen, changing the dna creates a
lethal virus

gosling: what if the virus... is love?

replicant slave girl: will you lead us to freedom, on space
planet

gosling: yes

^ oh fuck thats a nightmare

Im not keen when Ridley Scott now is adamant in interviews
that Deckard definitely is a replicant, i like the ambiguity
of not being entirely sure, the unicorn dream/ origami, i
like the idea more that he is human, but the entire point of
the film is questioning what it means to be human, and the
how the replicants at the end appear to have more empathy
than a alcoholic killer, i like that we are never sure who
he really is.

Dangerous days documentary is brilliant, highly recommend it
if you have 3 hours or so spare

Exactly, the ambiguity is crucial because the movie's major
theme is a meditation on what constitutes personhood. I
thought he used to be adamant that it was deliberately
ambiguous, and the audience had to decide for themselves?

What a fuckup. He made two timeless masterpieces - Alien and
Blade Runner - and now seems determined to destroy the
legacy of both of them. I mean, Cameron already destroyed
Alien, but whatever.

Think I saw part of that docu... IIRC there was a lot of
serendipity involved in the production.

Whoever fiddled with the script on Prometheus ruined the
alien legacy, how could they take something 'alien' eldritch
and an unknowable such as the space Jockeys and make them in
to giant humanoid slapheads is beyond me, they were much
cooler when they were an unknown alien entity with no
connection with humans what so ever

But I would help him, fleet of mice.

What is this, some type of empathy test? Capillary dilation
of the so-called blush response? surly you would need a cam
on me for that.

wonder how many questions on the voight kampff machine it
would take to differentiate a replicant from an estate
agent/bank manager bet there were loads of accidental
'retirements'

To me one of the most bizarre aspects of Blade Runner is
that they used the term Voight-Kampff machine instead of
Cool Android Detector. Hollywood was very different then.

Ford's monologue telegraphed... hey, are you trolling me?
Good work!

No not trolling, just didnt think through what i was saying

Yeah actually your right about the glowing eyes, perhaps
they would have lazer eye balls in that case, the owl would
have lazer bolts to try and kill Deckard when he detected
Rachel was an android. yeah ive seen the terrible monologue,
it wasn't written very well, they ere trying to go for that
noir detective thing, but it felt really out of place.

lets just recap hypie-flakes.

there is another starwars coming out next year wih Liea,
cheiwe and c3po.With Luke and r2 likely playing fairly
large roles.

Bladerunner 2 with 'Han Solo'

and Stephen Spielberg said he will make another Indiana
Jones only with 'Han Solo' in it, no other actor.

So Han is still alive and back in the cinemas soon.

There are also two more red dwarf series. one already has
completed filming.

^ yes good times, good recap, no doubt they will be of
variable quality, Indiana Jones has to come back in a big
way, i still havent forgiven Spielberg for the Shia Labeouf
monkey tree scene.

Yeah that sound is almost identical good spot, probably came
from the same source, Alien was 1979, Empire was 1980, so
they are contemporary sources, i know its all very nerdy but
i find little details like this fascinating

Sound effects from Alien also returned. Alien/Blade Runner
editor Terry Rawlings revealed that “There’s this low,
monotonous, humming noise you hear every time you’re in
Deckard’s apartment. It’s there all the time, but you
don’t know where it’s coming from until the end of the
picture. Then Harrison discovers Sean Young sleeping under
the sheets in his bed, and you realize that that sound has
been coming from these two flickering TV monitors besides
Deckard’s bed. Well, in that particular case, we reused a
sound effect originally created for Alien. It had been done
by a terrific sound editor chap named Jimmy Shields; Jimmy
had initially cooked up the sound you hear in Deckard’s
apartment for Alien’s Autodoc, the automated medical
scanner John Hurt’s put under after the facehugger clamps
onto his head. The reason we reused this audio bit for Blade
Runner was because Ridley just liked the sound of it. It was
so dynamic, it really stood up and hit you in the ear. Or
tickled it, as the case may be.”

ah, cool bit a triv.

Love the alien movies. 1, 2.... and 3 is actually pretty
good too ( the guy out of bottom is in it ep: gas) . 4th
haven’t seen for a while. but shall watch again one day.

i hope sigourney makes another, one day. she is making loads
of avatar movies at present. and ghostbusters.

I would be excited but I waited so long for no.3, Murray
kept ducking and dodging . now its all girls. wteh?. its
like bringing back spice girls and have males instead and
expecting the girl fan base to except it and gather male
interest. I hopes its good, as i will go see it at local
cinematic theater

Yeah Mr Rottweiler, brian glover, i love his character in
alien 3.

LAZY_TITLE

her is the mug he has in his office i want it

I kind of like how most of the characters are british
character actors, Alien 3 assembly cut is really good on blu
ray, makes it from a decent film to a great film in my
opinion. I really like some of the early scripts they had
for Alien 3 when it was going to have more of a religious
theme, with this wooden planetoid with an order of monks who
would think the Alien was the work of the devil and come out
of the privies to grab them.

read about it here

shall have to keep an eye out for that edit you mention.
