I like these internets videos, sorry about the squirrels richard bones. This is why I can't make good music- I refuse to use "fruity loops" and plugins are cool, but its all stuff other people coded, they already made it and you're just messing with their creation. Yeah you can make something quick by pushing a button if the software is programmed to do complex things on button push, but programming the complex things is what's creative. Plus fruity loops + plugins + all their trialware spam is a 747 cockpit of non fun ness. Its a mess, not elegant or simple. Modplug tracker makes shit music but its simple and fun and doesn't stand like a giant complicated industrial machine between you and creativity. You have to juggle like 17 windows each with tabs and this stupid piano roll, it was all coded the way you don't want it to be coded, except a gem or two locked away in plugins, which probably take many youtube video tutorials, especially since you have to use them within the shitty framework of fruityloops. Its bloatware. Plus music is basically a memetic disease, like brains getting stuck repeating repeatable things for no purpose. Then again life itself is purposeless too, maybe music is a way to express that larger point. Whatever. |
