This is from 2014, but I only discovered it last week:
dis
I know it's pop and all that shit, but motherfucker-- the production on all her tracks is amazing. Plus, I'm really impressed that she wrote the songs and completed production with some dude (yah yah, plus billion engineers and all that).
Her music reminds me of the golden era of music where musical talent and songwriting ability was very common amongst musical talents.
Electronic music has FINALLY started getting much better the past ~5 years after many years of garbage and bullshit. So I'm nominating this track- or Meghan Trainor's first album in general (which is the first pop album I've felt like buying in ages)- because if straight up pop can get good, this raises aesthetic sense amongst the masses, and these vibez bleed into the underground. Good pop music can basically help save the world (instead of spreading bad vibez and making children whores and drug addicts).
So with her album, I feel a very positive turning point for music in general. I wouldn't be surprised if all genres are starting to unearth that old school good feelin' golden sparkle.
There are quite a few notable electronic tracks that've been sweet this year-- internet musicz is at an all-time high (basically making the first real wave from mp3.com from 15 years ago look like amateur hour). But I can't pinpoint anything... Bendish has been killing it in recent times... THIS 13 minute track of his from late last year is excellent.

Another thing about her music... It really brings happy tears to my eyes and heart, because she's been writing/playing music since early-teen years, self-released stuff online before getting signed, etc. When I listen to her music, I hear that joy of someone who really just loves music.
Her debut album is like the realization of the dreams of the tens of thousands of IDM basement dudes who've been making music for ages, never got signed, but keep on composing with naive hope.
And as she doesn't exactly fix the pop image of a skinny sexed up hoebag, it feels great knowing that someone who deserved to get signed on talent, got signed. In that sense, I feel it gives hope to all musicians who can never ever let go of their teenage dream of getting signed.

eh, I think soundcloud was pretty vibrant a couple years ago, now itÅ› gotten quite spammy. i think the weblabelz, bandcamp, and digital distribution are pretty good these days.
also, I can't get behind that megan trainor song; obesity is a bad thing

Bwoy De Bhajan is doing good. His 2015 track Azavon The Chameleon is a good hint for an upcoming followup to his debut 2032. Hasn't really been blown away by anything else than his work for 2015, when it comes to electronic music.

the only The Prodigy track from new album worthy enough of mentioning on this glorious board
and the only new album track I come back to - rest of those tracks sound like b-sides from the previous album. RIP The Prodigy.

i can't stand the sleaford mods but i thought their track was the best. in fact the more i listen to it [the album] the better it gets. so much better than the forced last album.

new Leftfield....I thought I was gonna hate it - but it's not bad, in fact I listened to the album ~3 times in a row. I can definitely highlight track 1: nothing new really but I like it and a few others including "dark matters"
