The Conservative party is a dangerous party. Driven by the
raging cultural warriors of the right, half out of its mind
with fear of Nigel Farage, it no longer conserves but
destroys with as little thought for the consequences as a
brattish public schoolboy trashing a restaurant.

Its threat to repeal the Human Rights Act and pull
out of the European convention on human rights reveals how
it has become its own negation. Conservatives flatter
themselves that they defend the individual against the
over-mighty state. Yet they propose to tamper with rights
hundreds of millions of people recognise as their last
defence against state power. Tory officials tell me and
anyone else who wonders if they know what they are doing
that we have no need to worry. Existing European rights will
be incorporated into David Cameron’s new British bill of
rights. All that will change is that English judges will no
longer have to follow the rulings of the Strasbourg court.

If that’s truly the limit of Cameron’s ambition, the
only question that arises is: why bother? I don’t believe
it is.

Nick Cohen

One has to vote, one has to. But which out of this lot...? I
have ZERO love for the Tory Party. ZERO. I can understand
Conservatives, Tory voters, but the actual Tory Party? Dear
God. I should favour Labour but they've lost the plot. The
Greens? They're the popular choice amongst those that bash
the LibLabCon but... have you seen their policies? They are
BATSHIT.

Whoever gets in, or whatever mishmash, the outome will be
the same. I suspect we will get involved in Syria whoever
gets in, there's been a growing resurgence of "news" again
from that area. Cover ups of Establishment child abuse will
remain covered up. Reports on illegal wars, meant to have
been out in 2010, will remain unpublished. Controls on
immigration will be talked up whilst building an eight-lane
bridge from North Africa to Southampton to save on migrant
deaths. No significant numbers of affordable new housing
built, no significant infrastructure expansion. Anything not
yet sold to the Russians, Saudis or Qataris will simply be
given to them. Oh, and we'll go to war with Russia, to cap
it all off.

For a change, things actually look better election wise in
Canada and the US.

The NDP just took control of Alberta and I'm hoping that's a
sign of things to come in the federal election this fall,
because the "Liberals" are fucking cunts indistinguishable
from the conservatives on most issues.

And in the US, Bernie Sanders running for prez and endorsing
popular Elizabeth Warren style things like breaking up the
fucking banks is going to at least drive Hillary slightly
left of the center-right-neolib-neocon groove she's worn in
her chair.

What are the batshit policies of the english greens, I wish
to laugh.

vote labour to defeat tories. then we can spend next 5 years
more comfortably assessing what improvements we can make to
the center left (which thankfully isnt that left at all).
the tories cant pull off center right and are going to
tailor themselves to ukip voters. the only way to a sensible
center is then thru the labour left.

if the tories get in they will shamelessly pander to
loudmouth rightwing protest voters that know the tories are
scared of them. tories as per tradition will also fuck the
poor and immigrants pretty hard. that will fan flames and
everywhere i see dry kindling.

ah, troofers, not surprising... I tend to think of troofers
as right wing but political wings meet on the extreme
flipside.

ampimax, there's only 30 right wing tory mps left. the rest
are lib dems in disguise. anything populist coming out of
cameron's mouth is a lie to win votes.
probably the tories and libdems will merge to make a new
party. Do What Nathaniel Rothschild Wants Party. there is
already a british constitution (unwritten yet effective.)
your vote is less than effective, only converting to judaism
gives you a chance to navigate the chaos. come on guys, we
all know the jews are in charge. let's be jews too. it's
time to convert.

nick cohen isnt too bad but he does deny some obvious stuff
about how the system works, not sure if it's deliberate.

fuck the parties. judaism has the answers. fuck palestine.

The private school pompous pricks are going to:

*let armament manufacturing companies buy out the NHS,
*carry on taxing your disabled nan for her spare bedroom.
*carry on supporting big businesses; letting them get away
with 0 hour contracts and giving them big tax breaks
*do nothing about major corporations dogging tax while poor
people pay their tax and end up in a food bank.
*Keep demonizing the poor and unemployed with the anti
scrounger propaganda while the banking criminals get away
with murder.

voted for labour, although where i live is a safe seat
anyway.

how come people think who they vote for should be a secret?

I voted UKIP. Probably more out of dislike for the Tories
and Labour than anything. I hope it increases pressure on
them to buck their ideas up, as in reality it is, and will
only ever be, a two horse race between these two, despite
neither really being worthy of a vote.

Like choosing Cancer or Aids.

should switch to proportional representation.

pressure on them to buck up ideas? what message did we tell
the 2 horses?

we want trash policies for our hysterical standpoints on
petty issues.

As it stands, absolutely zero. However, a 13% vote share of
near 4m under PR would have rightly won 80+ seats, showing
their 'trash policies for hysterical standpoints on petty
issues' are deemed of value to voters.

not online. it's bad enough irl.

but.. ampi, you mention the abolition of the human rights
act as if humans have no rights anymore. you sound like
derek hatton.

it's being re-written AS YOU KNOW so lets have your [mong]
opinion on that and what you think about OUR "bill of
rights".

i'm not saying youre wrong but dont fall into the trap of
echoing the media bullshit about this. the tories are
stripping away a couple of things and trying to give our
country more power over certain legislation. now, i am more
than aware what this is but are you? i see no evidence of
this rather than a chance to slate a party you don't agree
with with without the understanding of why.
