what does that dude in the fucking red hat think, instead of
raving ? "I'll properly dance to this recording taken with
my awesome phone when I'm back home - I'll get naked and all
and have lots of fun" - ?

there you go, first comment under that youtube vid: "So many
phones recording, so few bodies dancing.
The depressing reality of so many live shows these days."

wtf happened to this world, may I ask ?

on the lighter/funny side though: in 8th minute I get a
feeling that's Darth Vader mixing the music

xD

Absolutely. Fucking. Pathetic.

If any further proof were needed that this horse is dead,
flogged, the carcass rotten to a soft sludge, that in turn
flogged, by the flogees that have long since died and
themselves have turned into dust and dry-piss, .. I don't
know what is.

I guess in 2015 that sterile hanging about is what
constitutes a "rave".

Good fucking.... goat god.

Playing live from his plexiglass prison, it's bucket-hat
pusher.

I think the rave can only be seen through glass, it's just
that some of the audience think that another layer of glass
will make it better.

Nodding Dog Rave.

I dunno but for a release party of an album I don't hear
much of the album. I do like the album btw. Wish he'll tour
in europe..

That thing on his head is ridiculous btw.

They should have put chairs out.

Such a shame. Squarepusher is all about the mental. I feel
sorry for him.

It's like everything went downhill after Ultravisitor. I
think fandom got to him.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z2MHrdQQN4 - this video is
really awkward to watch, especially when the dude shouts
"Squarepusher is the fucking daddy" and Squarepusher's
mentally preparing himself for a beautiful heartfelt bass
moment - dude might as well have shouted "Dance, monkey.
Dance!"

It's no wonder he ended up wearing robot masks.

And yet he remains an enigma. He's going to come back with
something really good again one day, I'm sure of it.

same thoughts here. how does that show "promote" the new
album ?? one can only hope that if he played "exjag nives"
the zombie pack would start moving on the dancefloor, at
least at half-speed.

=====================

Furies has the same problems as many of his previous albums:
one hit/miss track can spoil them all.

what's "the Stadium Ice" this time ? that Cure cover opening
fucking just like heaven track that I skip cause I can't
bear it. dunno, I just sometimes think he just hates his
listeners and tries to either push them when they try to
photograph him or ....dunno. Strange man.

as usual "the album is not bad, BUT....."

He;s playing here on the 22nd. I hadn't listened since early
2000's, so i have missed a lot. Last time he was here, the
show he played was dominated by soundscapes.

I really like big loada, go plastic etc, am still taking in
all the releases I missed. From what I uave heard, I don't
mind it, not blown away but it may take a little time to
sink in. I am however, glad he did not stay stagnant, or
just hold tightly to the sound/era i am familiar with, which
I think can be problematic for any musician. The risk of
experimentation is losing some of your fanbase, but in my
opinion allways worth chancing.
Unfortunately I am going to miss the show here, may have to
wait another 14 years, if he does return.
