i tried BeOS, but it sucks, cuz the compatibility with ned peripheral is bad, they need more programmers...

I had to use an Amiga at the public access station i used to work at for broadcast graphics...that thing was so slow and ugly...but it rarely crashed.

yeah .. too true - technology is endless - hard to step back and appreciate it (even when dated :) .. like a 4track would still be wicked to play around with - if i didn't have my current puter :)

hm i liked beos.. it is/was kinda more made for multimedia.. ask some windowscoders ;o).. steinberg e.g. wanted to support them if i remember right.. but well.. it´s kinda dead now... (?) amiga and ugly or slow? heh.. well.. depends on what system u worked.. i think it´s quite good looking ;o) these days

hehe, well the workstation i used was pretty damn old...the monitor would give you headaches if you looked at it for more than a few minutes.

haukur, the amiga is a nice machine.. got a 1230/50 myself :)
other nice sites: www.pouet.net and www.amidemos.org (nice divx demosite, check out planet potion or little nell for some nice visuals and music)

there is a lot of cool stuff on the net.. in my opinion amiga pixelgfx and demos are still the coolest... btw.. <--1230/50 too ;o)
